    Fruit Delights

Love the idea of fruit specially on those warm summer days. In the fall, what could be better than apples off the tree - so many ways to enjoy

A simple lime dressing with a hint of mint coats cubed cantaloupe and honeydew for a refreshing treat. I found this delightful recipe in the Taste of Home Busy Family Cookbook.

    Recipe #298027

This is another twist on baked apples. I like to serve it with vanilla ice cream. The spices make this very flavorful.

    Recipe #327790

I love sharing these two ingredient recipes, though this one may sound a little odd. I must admit when I heard a chef on TV say that freshly ground black pepper on sweet cantaloupe is exceptional, I was thinking more like- bizarre! But once you taste this, especially you cantaloupe lovers, you may never eat it any other way.

    Recipe #102423

With only 3 ingredients this is just about the simplest and most refreshing appetizer you can serve. One tbsp of nutmeg sounds like a lot but don't be afraid to try it. The flavour works very well with the pineapple. This recipe comes from More Fun and Flavour with Spices

    Simple but perfect.

    Recipe #240605

I first saw Bobby Flay prepare this on the Food Network in 2007. It was a featured recipe during a segment called "Boy Meets Grill" in the episode called Dinner on the Grill. It looked so good so I just had to try it. It was an immediate hit with my family. I have made this on the grill (as Bobby Flay prepared it) as well as on my stovetop, and it comes out fantastic each time.

Hands up, who serves applesauce at the dinner table? How about trying this instead? It's easy to prepare, luscious, and you'll be amazed at how such a simple dish will impress family and friends. This is great when served with a roast...especially pork, chicken or turkey. Use whatever apples you prefer; I like golden delicious for this recipe. If you like the taste of cinnamon, a pinch can be added when cooking (don't add too much, or the apples will have a dessert taste).

These frosted grapes look beautiful hanging on the side of a glass filled with fruit salad or a chilled glass of Champagne. You may use castor surgar instead of the gelatin or granulated. An interesting point has been raised about the safety of eating these grapes when raw egg white is used and then they sit out. I leave it up to you - If you make them, dry them & use them fairly quickly I would not worry. If you do not like using any form of raw egg and eating it leave them as decoration only.

This recipe has been making its rounds between my family and friends, so I have no idea where it came from, but doggone it, its good! It is best served with strawberries.

    Recipe #235279

Here is a simple recipe that is a little out of the mainstream. (at least for me!) It is a great topping to go with any fruit but especially great with strawberries. Use it with fruit on pound cake or on top of ice cream. It's not mine per se but I'm glad to share it with you. The pepper adds just a little "kick" to it. It is a mellow sweet taste that I have given to the most discriminating taste buds and got their compliments
