Recipes from my favorite chefs cookin' it up on teevee. Most of these are recipes I saw them cook on their shows and then searched for... some, however, just looked good!

I was watching "The View" and they had on country singer Trisha Yearwood promoting her second cookbook. She and the ladies of The View were surrounded by prepared dishes from her new cookbook, and Whoopi, Joy, and Sherrie could not stop eating the Hot Corn Dip!! They said it was thee best thing ever!! So I went on ABC website for The View and crossed my fingers hoping the recipe would be there, and it was!! I can't wait to try it today. Also wanted to post for others to try too. Hope it's a winner!!

    Recipe #419813

    Recipe from Rachael Ray's website.

    Recipe #336549

A simple, decadent steak sandwich. Credit goes to a rancher's wife known as Pioneer Woman. :) Based on comments received, I have reduced the amount of worcestershire sauce from 1/2 cup, to 1/4-1/2 cup. I suggest starting with the lower amount and adding more if you like.

I love the decadence of scones, love coffee, and love chocolate chips! I'm not a huge fan of Sandra Lee on the Food Network, but these scones looked pretty darn good for Semi-Homemade ones made with Bisquick! :) They tasted even better!!! (However, I do think the 3/4 cup of white chocolate chips made this a little too I replaced the white with an additional 3/4 cup semi-sweet ones. I also felt that the dough needed an additional teaspoon of vanilla extract. I found the coffee flavor to be far too weak using double strength coffee, so I substituted 4 1/2 tsp instant espresso powder dissolved in 1/4 cup hot tap water. ) Enjoy with coffee or hot chocolate for a sinful breakfast!

Copyright 2005, Ina Garten. We made these instead of burgers for one of the "picnic, hamburger & hot dog" cookout holidays. We have a disadvantage here at the home, the resident's will ignore any food they don't recognize. So we tried these and they loved them! Yay! These are even good enough for company!

    Recipe #191909

I saw Melissa make these on the Next Food Network Star show and wanted to try these for my family. Quicker baking time with the smaller portions. NOTE: I layered the potatoes, cheese, seasonings and onion several times and cooked it closer to an hour in my oven.

    Recipe #385071

My old trade-school recipe, and always my favourite! I found it today during a major clean of the house.

This is an MSG-free copycat recipe for Lawry's Seasoned Salt. (Found it on the Web while searching for something else; haven't tried it myself.)

    Recipe #17051

This is my take on the Neely's delicious bbq seasoning! From Down Home with the Neely's cookbook. The original recipe calls for white sugar, I added the optional garlic powder and black pepper.

    Recipe #412357

From the Barefoot Contessa's What are Friends For episode, this is yummy good!

    Recipe #385941

This is how my mom made BLT's while we were growing up. You could substitute sprouts for the lettuce.

    Recipe #291508

I originally submitted this without trying it, as it was in response to a request. I finally got around to trying it last week, and realized there was a mistake, as the ingredients in the cake part should have read: 8 tablespoons butter, melted. Also, you can't "pour" the cake into the pan it has to be patted into the pan like a pie crust. Anyway, here is the revised version. I also cut down on the sugar, using about 12 ounces or 3/4 of the box. This is awesome-a Paula Deen classic!

These are so cute and so yummy. Perfect for a birthday party.

I watched Barefoot Contessa fix this today and since I had all ingredients on hand and it is HOT, thought I would fix it for our supper tonight. I sure am glad I did. This is awesome on a hot day. I hope you will try it too!

This recipe was adapted by Ina Garten from her signature coconut cupcakes. Copied from YourGoodHouse magazine.

The dressing turns this fruit salad into something special. Cut the wedges from the orange into the bowl first, then squeeze the rest to extract juice, will keep the banana from turning brown.

Courtesy Ina Garten. These are really great and easy to make. The only time consuming part is waiting for them to cool. Barefoot Contessa has done it again.
