Went to an alphabet pot luck tonight where everyone signed up to bring a dish that started with a particular letter of the alphabet. Of all the dishes (and there were lots of yummy ones), this was my favorite. I decided to name it after my friend's sweet daughter that made it.
My mom decided to try these Snickers-like candy, and our family fell in love with them!!! They are very rich, so cut into small pieces!!! Also, each layer has to be refrigerated before adding the next, so plan ahead. The time is worth it though!!
This is from my Eat Well Stay Well cookbook. I haven’t tried it yet, but I’m typing it up for ZWT II. Pecans would probably work well too. I need to make these for my dad. I’m sure he’d love them! Makes 2 cups
This is one of the recipes I use especially for Christmas baking, but it is a favorite any time of the year. I normally double the recipe--they can be refrigerated pretty well if you don't finish them--but it's up to you to decide how much you want to make :)
A buttery sweet nut brittle candy with a mild heat after the sweet. Not as hard as many brittles, it's very easy on the teeth. Got this from a magazine (can't remember which one). Made it for xmas gifts and it was a big hit. Mmmm, sweet and spicy buttery goodness...
These are awesome and perfect for holiday gift giving. I've taken two batches into my newsroom and my staff has wiped them out. They are eas but very rich and delicious. Coconut flavored ones rolled in coconut and raspberry flavored ones rolled in cocoa are our favorites so far. I found the recipe in Albertson's new magazine — Easy.
I've been making this for years ........ it looks quite impressive in recycled salad dressing, vinegar, oil or pickle jars and makes a great hostess gift! This must be made at least 4 weeks before consuming.
