Sea Scallops Sauteed With Mushrooms & Pasta
    Handle

My husband brought home these huge Maine sea scallops and I made another experiment which turned out really good. It was very light and tasty and simple to make. I used baby portobello mushrooms & bowtie pasta. The hubby would like to see this done with angel hair pasta next time.

    Grilled Skewered Sea Scallops
    Handle

This has everything going for it - it's low-calorie, it's fast, and it's delicious. The scallops need to marinate about 30 minutes, which gives you time to rustle up a nice rice pilaf and salad to accompany it. Then throw on the grill and dinner is served!

This spicy pepper coating and asian-style sauce prove that you can't go wrong with the simplest of ingredients. Add a touch of chili-garlic paste to the sauce for a hint of fire. This recipe is altered from original Bon Appetit.

My husband and I enjoy fresh grilled Tuna. I know what some of you may be thinking -- UGH -- Tuna like from a can -- gross -- that was my first thought when I heard the words Tuna. This is different though. This has an excellent flavor. just like grilled steak.

    Black Pepper Shrimp (Paula Deen)
    Handle

This recipe from Paula Deen of Food Network couldn't be easier. It seems like a LOT of black pepper, but trust me--it works. You get it all over your fingers as you shell the shrimp and eat them, so have some wet wash cloths rolled up and ready. This cooks up in just a few minutes, so have the rest of your dinner ready before you start (I suggest a hearty salad and bread).

Baja Fried Fish Tacos With Spicy Cabbage Slaw
    Handle

I love these fish tacos. You can find them in many California areas. You can either order the fish grilled or fried and because I love deep fried food, it's always fried fish for me when ordering or making them. Besides the spicy cabbage slaw I also like to top the whole thing with mounds of salsa and taco sauce. Goes great with Pacifico!

    Classic Baja-Style Fish Tacos
    Handle

The original recipe is from The Gourmet Cookbook, and is adapted from the tacos served at Rubio's Baja Grill. I've made a couple changes, but mostly to the sauce -- trying to duplicate the wonderful sauce used at Barryhill Baja Grill in Houston. It may take a little more work but frying the fish twice is what gives it a crisper crust.

WOW! Do we love these fish tacos, and there are so many variations. This is one of my favorites and most authentic. Or, Think fresh grilled mahi-mahi slipped inside a thick warm corn tortilla and topped with thinly sliced cabbage, drizzled with lime juice and a splash of creme fresh. YUMMY!

How to Boil a Lobster - Farm Style - Longmeadow Farm
    Handle

Lobsters are cheap by standards -- so we make this a meal in itself anytime of the week. I use the recipe from the "Maine Lobster Council". Oh yummy, remember lobster's walk side-ways, and crabs walk straight. You will need a 4-5 gallon seafood, dutch oven, etc pot for steaming/boiling.

This is our family favorite recipe that has stood the test of time and many other recipes vying for top spot. It has a wonderful buttery mouth feel, tastes authentically Creole and is so quick and easy to make (if you use the frozen peeled and deveined shrimp that have been thawed out). We often have it during the week after work.

    Legal Seafood Style Baked Scallops

    115 Reviews |  By Lorac

Whenever we get back to the Boston area, it's a priority to to have a meal at Legal Seafoods. I recently "re-discovered" this recipe buried in old newspaper clippings. I had tried to recreate it in the past but now know I was missing the most important ingredient - buttermilk. I made it again after posting the recipe so I have edited the original description. It's even better than I remembered, you might want to try just a dash (or more) of cayenne pepper. It's delightful !

    Coquille St. Jacques (Scallops)
    Handle

This is one of my favorites and it is the MOST AUTHENTIC RECIPE! Other recipes that omit some of the ingredients, such as the heavy cream, are not the true recipe for this wonderful tasting dish. Also, you must serve it in shells or ramekins & not over a bed of rice. It's just as good as other recipes for this dish that require many more steps. It's YUMMY! This recipe is a variation on one that was printed in our local newspaper. They were a big hit at our Christmas Party last year. For those of you who arent't big fans of scallops, they work great on their own with a slice of provolone cheese melted on top instead.
