A delicately decadent dessert - elegant yet easy enough to prepare for your most honoured guests! Found on FoodNetwork. Courtesy of Simple French Desserts by Jill O'Connor. "This classic French dessert is enriched by poaching the pears in a caramelized sugar syrup spiked with fresh ginger and Poire William, a heady pear brandy. You can drizzle caramel sauce over the pears and ice cream instead of the more traditional chocolate sauce." I'm thinking the caramel sounds lovely!

    Recipe #270231

A light, healthy way to enjoy your chicken parmesan without the guilt! From the Cook Yourself Thin show. **Havent made this yet, but it looked amazing...of course it appeared to have been cooked in under 30 minutes, but I am guesing it will tke me much longer. :)

    Recipe #391730

A great basic recipe for a fast side dish - who doesn't like to dress up their veggies? I use regular olive oil as I haven't found the "O Olive Oil" called for in the recipe yet - but posted it as written. Also like to sprinkle with a little (light) bit of freshly shredded/grated Parmesan cheese for a nice twist. Another nice, quick and easy recipe from Sandra Lee on the Food Network - work night meals woohoo!! Check out the other recipes from this episode that compliment this well:Lemon-Herb Butter-Basted Chicken, Lemon Chicken Soup, Lemon Pudding Brulee with Blueberries, and a nice Lemon Cream Martini. YUMMY!! ;)

    Recipe #212120

A fun Caribbean inspired recipe I found to post for ZWT3.

    Recipe #234275

This is a great twist on traditional fried or smothered cabbage - taken from the Tony's Seafood of Louisiana website (who are quoting a Mulate's recipe). How can we go wrong? YUMMO!! My DH brought me a tee back from Mulate's when he was down helping recovery efforts after Hurricane Katrina - needless to say we love the region and the food - and now I can say I "perk" up a bit when I see Mulate's anywhere. I can't wait to get down there myself just to sample my way around the region! How DO I get one of those traveling shows myself? ;)--

    Recipe #215647

Another great recipe from my Care2 network's recipeshare pages. This one is also contributed by Niki C. Sounds delicious!! According to Niki, This Ethiopean Honey Bread is really delicious and a winner at any fair, or home crafts show. Enjoy all!! ;) ***just a note re: yeast since it wouldn't allow me to submit 1 packet for size, Approximately 2 1/4 tsp. equal one 1/4 oz. packet yeast if you are using from a jar.

    Recipe #219415

I go this recipe from the Rachel Ray show and I make it with Simple Couscous. My family absolutely loved it - even my 14 year old daughter cleaned her plate. I count that a success anytime! It is a nice change to the everyday - and is easy to make!! I did modify the sauce a bit as I like the sauce a bit thicker and used bing cherries in syrup as i couldn't find the ones she called for. Turned out great and looked the same.

    Recipe #195552

    A Rachel Ray 30 minute meal--although I must say, I usually can't make things in 30 minutes!!

    Recipe #247917

A nice looking alternative to traditional bread pudding featuring Amarula Cream. ***Please note temp differences from C to F depending on region. 160 deg C = 325 deg F

    Recipe #220649

Found on the Novus Vinum website this tasty bevy features St Germain Elderflower Liquor. YUMMY - if you enjoy Soho Lychee liquor, this is another liquor to search out - enjoyable lychee-like flavor is similar, although more sophisticated with a hint of pear. :) Try it, you may enjoy what it brings to this special martini - It ain't your Mama's martini!!
