    Feingold Program 1

These recipes are ones I have collected on 'zaar after joining the Feingold Program, an elimination diet plan for kids (and adults) with ADD/ADHD. Feingold eliminates artificial colors, flavors and preservatives. Stage One eliminates natural salicylates as well. These recipes are allowable in Stage One as well as Stage Two. Read more about it at http://www.feingold.org.”

This is a simple method of making vanilla sugar. To enhance the sugar store it with one vanilla bean.

    Recipe #37749

This is similar to Recipe #110331, but without the beef bouillon. It is great for casseroles, meat dishes and crockpot meals that call for a packet of instant dry onion soup mix.

    Recipe #223023

I got this from a friend who is following the Feingold diet. We are trying to cut out artificial flavoring and coloring. This lets my kids eat jello, one of their favorites, without the added coloring. Cook time is refrigeration time.

    Recipe #270651

This recipe is an adaptation of several recipes and the way I prefer to have my ranch dressing. Add more milk as needed for a thinner dressing. Chill at least 30 minutes for flavors to blend. Will keep about a week in the refrigerator.

    Recipe #421187

I'm a thin crust person and I found this on a web site (not sure which one). Very easy and bakes up crispy not soggy.

    Recipe #95048

Every Sunday morning, my mom and I used to get up early and make these wonderful waffles. This recipe has been in the family for years, and I will definitly be passing it down to my children.

This caramel corn whips up really fast and is the perfect consistency and taste. I received it from some good friends of my parents. It always goes over well when a bunch of friends or family get together. Even though its easy, my husband requests it often. We like light corn syrup, but if you prefer a stronger flavor, use dark.

    Recipe #137635

A basic sugar syrup used as a base for a variety of desserts and beverages.

    Recipe #26987

This a sweet spread with a bit of a crunch. Try it with peanut butter on a English Muffin or bagel. I made 4 jars & gave 2 away. As my family will only finish 2 jars in 3 weeks. Recipe source Bernardine, a manufacturer of canning equipment.

    Recipe #132420

Formula for making a thin, medium and thick white sauce.

    Recipe #61333

The beauty of this recipe is that the ingredients are mixed in one step. It is a no-fail recipe that is simple and delicious.

A friend made this and I was thrilled by how wonderful it tasted. I never thought I would like JUST mushroom soup. She served it with fresh hot bead and butter. mmmmmmmmmm

    Recipe #50484

This is a great "soft scrub" for counters, sinks, tubs, shower stalls, etc. You can optionally add an essential oil to scent. (I use Dr. Bronner's Peppermint Castille soap, so I don't need any extra scent.) It's important to use liquid soap, not detergent, because detergent makes it much harder to rinse. Castille soap is best; it's available at health food stores. It's great to use this and know you're saving money while being kind to your lungs and the planet at the same time! I got this recipe from Karen Logan's book, Clean House, Clean Planet (a great book!). You can add a few drops of tea tree oil to make it disinfectant and use it for a toilet bowl cleaner.

    Recipe #80954

This recipe is from Todd Wilbur's "Top Secret Recipes" (www.TopSecretRecipes.com). In heaven there must be a special place for those of us who love peanut butter & chocolate. This recipe has no added butter like many other copycat recipes. You will need a muffin tin, preferably with shallow cups, but the regular size will work if filled only halfway. Times are a guess-timate and do not include cooling and firming time.

Picked up this recipe from a lady that used to make them for Halloween in the 50's.

    Recipe #17238

Forget the nasty grocery store marshmallows. These are wonderful, kids like to help make them, and they are made of real items in your kitchen. Prep time includes sitting overnight. I found this recipe in "Barefoot Contessa, Family Style"

    Recipe #57673

This is a foolproof recipe. The dough can be made up in the morning and placed in the refrigerator until evening when they are ready to be rolled out and cut.

    Recipe #239941

My children love lemon cake, but I couldn't find one that wasn't full of garbage. So I made my own. Enjoy.
