5-Ingredient Fix Contest Entry. Have you ever made cabbage pockets? Some people call them Kraut Burgers. My mom calls them German Hamburgers. I am referring to the little buns of dough filled with hamburger and cabbage. I used to make the dough from scratch - let it rise, punch it, and all that. Too much work for this girl! I have an easier way… a casserole that tastes like cabbage pockets. This is much easier to make because you don't have to roll out the dough to make individual burgers.

I found this one on the Cooking Light website and I can't wait to try it! Use reduced fat and reduced sodium ingredients to make this as healthy as possible. You can also add chicken to change this from a vegetarian to a carnivore dish.

The flavors of Fall come together in this tasty dish! Also super easy to make with only five ingredients.

This is truly savory and delicious. The sour cream crust is so tender. This is from Southern Living magazine.

Another Sunset Cookbook recipe using traditional Indian spices in addition to hot chili oil and nonfat sour cream to temper the spicy flavors a bit.

I don't eat regular potatoes and sweet potatoes are really nutritious. I went searching the web for some variations with them and loved this. It's really simple too.

The conception of this salad has been floating around in my head for several weeks. I was inspired by a picture of a salad with thin, ribbon-sliced zucchini in a magazine I looked at recently. I didn't care for the other components of the salad, but the picture got my brain "a-whirring"! I thought it was such a beautiful and fun presentation for everyday, ordinary, downtrodden zucchini. I mixed and matched several different ideas and finally came up with this Ribbons of Zucchini Mediterranean Salad using some of our favorite summer veggies. Along with the zucchini ribbons (easily done with a common vegetable peeler), the salad includes crisp peppers, red onions, ripe tomatoes, tiny green peas, Kalamata olives and Feta cheese all married together with a lemony herb dressing and finished off with a sprinkle of pine nuts.

A different way to make and old standby veggie. I like to puree mine to a texture similar to creamy grits.

The paraguay corn pie chipa guazu is a popular american side dish that is popular in to the international cuisine too. Chipa Guazú is very much like the Sopa Paraguaya, only it is creamier. And the Chipa Guazú has lots of onions in it. Adapted for ZWT7 from:

Serve warm off the grill—all you need to pair them with is a cold beer. From Chow. I, also, noticed that Ptitchef (a cooking blogger) prepared this and added about 1 cup of cooked chorizo, so I added that ingredient as optional. She, too, placed the peppers over a very simple 'red sauce'. I added that optional recipe to the instructions. The combination of the stuffed peppers and sauce is simply divine. See "note" below for a "how to" microwave basmati rice. (Note: These can be baked and finished off under the broiler.)

This is from the Kraft Canada website, but don't let that discourage you. It's very good and it doesn't use any of that "kid" food that I normally think of when I hear the name "Kraft". We just used normal, unflavored feta cheese, but I'll bet it would be even better with the feta specified in the recipe.

Made this for the family for a change. The kids are on a health kick and our family favourite is mashed spuds!!!!! So I found this recipe and everyone loved it, so this will subsitute on a few occasions from now on..............and maybe cut down on some carb's! I do use the low fat cream version as DH hates evaporated milk, and also use the chicken stock.
