This is a recipe I have been making for yonks now.....I first devised it about 18 years ago, when I was following Rosemary Connely's "Hip & Thigh Diet"!! It's a very easy low fat chicken dish, which can be pan fried or baked in the oven - I prefer the latter method, it's much easier! Serve it with a medley of gently steamed vegetables, rice or pasta. (NB: PLEASE note, one of the reviewers has stated that she cooked this in a crockpot!! I would NEVER suggest cooking this recipe in a crockpot, that's why it is NOT mentioned as a cooking method ANYWHERE in the recipe - only pan-fried or oven baked. Thanks! )

Personaly, I think that a banana or pineapple, thinly sliced would be wonderful, in between the tortillas or maybe served under the ice cream for an added treat.
Either way, they are bound to be good.
This is a wonderful dinner-party dish...In the spirit of lightening up my recipes, this one still tastes great using less butter and either half-and-half or fat-free half-and-half in place of the heavy cream.

I got this off another on-line recipe site and it looks so good I wanted to be sure and save it as this is the only site I really use. It's credited to a "QUIRKYIQ" and she states "the crispiest, spiciest, homemade fried chicken I have ever tasted! It is equally good served hot or cold and has been a picnic favorite" My whole family LOVES a good fried chicken so can't wait to try it out.
This is a wonderful...easy bread...and you can add to it easily...try adding crisp fried bacon, pepperoni, cheddar cheese or hot peppers...(do so in moderation) What makes this bread special...(you soak the cornmeal in the milk for 15 min. without stirring...to get rid of the grittiness)...makes a lovely mellow bread
