Excellent flavoring, along with the cheese flavoring, makes this a super supper.

    Recipe #327478

This taco salad recipe is different from the ones that are on Recipezaar because it doesn't use Catalina dressing, you make the dressing for this salad. It also contains Doritos, kidney beans and colby or cheddar cheese. I haven't had a chance to try this recipe yet, so I am placing it here for safekeeping. Please Note: Time does not include cooling time for ground beef.

    Recipe #392098

This is a very easy recipe for pumpkin pie that was voted the BEST by our Thanksgiving Pumpkin Pie connoisseurs! It is tried and true, and a favourite in our family.

    Great do ahead appetizer

    Recipe #35967

This is one of the first dishes I cooked when I first got married. 'Real' risotto seemed too complicated. This recipe is pretty easy. The ingredients are so simple, but the dish is delicious. I had trouble giving an amount for the mushrooms. You have to decide how strong you want the mushroom taste to be. I often sprinkle the dish with a bit of fresh chopped parsley just before serving.

These are a nice easy appetizer, simple store bought biscuits, cremini mushrooms and then stuffed with cheese and baked. It is the easiest dish around and always a show stopper and so good. Just gooey and the perfect flavor it can't get much easier. If you want mozzarella and parmesan or swiss and monterey jack, that is fine. You can use any of your favorite cheeses for this.

    Recipe #348073

This breakfast recipe was found in the 2009 cookbook, Taste of Home's Best Holiday Recipes.

    Recipe #393798

My mother asked me to bring scalloped to Thanksgiving dinner. This is my usual recipe. It's really easy to make. When I first started making it DD asked me to add chopped broccoli to it next time. When she's home I do just that. It adds a nice bit of colour and flavour to this dish. If you use your food processor to slice the potatoes and chop the onions, preparation is a breeze. Found in Anne Lindsay's Lighthearted Everyday Cooking.

I found this online and made a couple minor changes to make it even lower in carbs. It is really very, very good!It is very low in carbs.

    Recipe #225506

Another recipe from my Great Aunt's collection. She clipped this from the Chicago Tribune on July 5,1972, where it had won the weekly "$5 Favorite Recipe Prize." Makes a small batch. While the original version called for only 2 Tbsp of flour, I found they needed a bit more. These are very eggy pancakes - their texture and taste is quite different from a more floury pancake. They can be a little tricky to turn- make sure you keep the heat low enough not to burn them, and wait to flip until the surface really is riddled with air bubbles. Recipe doubles well.

A very good "do ahead" recipe, quick, easy and tasty. You can make the olive spread the day before or do it all at once. These freeze well. Just thaw before broiling. I flatten the bead slices with a rolling pin before toasting one side.

My mom always made this when my brothers and I were asking for mac and cheese - no little blue box for us! exceptionally perfect. Easily adapted to an adult taste with meat, or kept simple. I use a cream of cheddar soup but you can make a rouge of butter, flour, milk and cheddar if you prefer a pure homemade feel.

    Recipe #242365

Very simple dessert that shows off very pretty. From Quick Cooking 2003 presented by V. Oyer.

These cookies are nice and hearty! They are great for Thanksgiving and Christmas when cranberries are popular. But I also make them anytime. The dough gets VERY may need to work it with your hands.
