D's Burgers: Beef, Chicken, Pork, Turkey, Salmon, Tuna and . . .

[Photo by Bergy of Manami's The Burger Bar - Tyler Florence] I love a "GOOD" burger! Seasoned well with mushrooms, carmelized onions, crispy bacon and cheese, and of course salt and pepper! You are only limited by your imagination!

A recipe from the Ultimate Barbeque cookbook. I will do it for lunch. ETA : I can see why these are Dream Burgers. They are so tasty. A little bit sweet because of the sauce. Burgers are moist and were easy to cook on the barbecue.

    Recipe #431097

This is from Taste of Home Magazine. I forgot to pick up corn so admitted that and also red peppers were too expensive so I used a green Italian pepper. These are so tasty and and super easy. The sauce is so good that you can use it for a dip or topping for tacos, etc.

Periodically I buy her magazine and this recipe was in the burger issue. I did modify it a bit to suit preferences. If you prefer a more chunky texture for the dressing, you can just mix it by hand.

    Recipe #429053

Skip the fast food and make the ultimate homemade burger for a lot less money. This recipe calls for Wholly Guacamole which is made with mashed avocados, jalapeno puree (white vinegar and jalapeno peppers), onion, salt and garlic.

This is a great, easy burger recipe. The ground beef is combined with green chile peppers and beef bouillon. This makes them very moist and flavorful. Serve on hamburger buns with your favorite fixings

    Recipe #66600

I found this in an old Philadelphia Brand Cream Cheese cookbook and made a few changes to update it a bit and to suit my family. We loved the results!

I like to ground my own beef. Just take slightly frozen beef cubes and process in a food blender till ground! It works like a charm. Then you know what is in your ground beef.

I made this for RSC and just now am posting.

These burgers are just delicious! The ingredients make for a burger that needs little topping - keep the ketchup and mustard in your refrigerator! And please don't skip the barbecue sauce. It sounds a little odd, but it adds just the right flavor to finish off these great burgers. I'd recommend topping with lettuce, tomato and a little mayo.

My idea of what a Bonza (Great) Aussie burger should be, with the "works" added to it! Plus........warm weather, ocean breezes and a tube of your favourite beer - optional maybe - but probably necessary! Oh yes, and these burgers should be cooked OUTDOORS - please!!!

A good burger that is healthy for you, and that has mushroom lovers in mind. We used the button mushrooms (personal preference). We roasted the garlic earlier in the day, so we used that. Am posting this as per request and I also have another friend in mind - eat hearty! Update: 02/07/2011 - after trying these a couple of times I decided that a Herbed Horseradish Mayonnaise would go well with it: 1/2 c mayo, 1 T prepared horseradish, 2 T parsley, basil or chives, 1 T EEVO, a squeeze of fresh lemon juice and kosher salt and freshly ground pepper. Stir it all together in a small bowl and use. This will make it more moist. Hope you like it. :)

I have yet to make this, but it's next on my list. For now, lemme just say....OMG, the photo I saw is insane! A big THANK YOU to Rachael Ray. I'm not a horseradish fan, so I'll have to discover if it's "omittable or substitutable" without suffering major repercussions. Times are estimated.

These sound awesome! A new way to cook burgers! Found in Cuisine-at-Home, Issue 63. Am placing here for safekeeping. Update 06/04/07 -- these burgers have been placed on the "homes' menu" as an A La Carte option. Am very happy!

Food and Wine Magazine, June /07 edition. "These burgers pair well with the crisp, coriander-inflected Lagunitas Brewing Company’s Sonoma Farmhouse Saison, modeled after the widely distributed Belgian beer Saison Dupont—also a great match." Chef Sang Yoon will almost always choose ale over Riesling and this is one of his beer-friendly recipes.

Curtis Stones' take on the American classic, taken from Episode 161: Ava's Menu, from his popular TV Show. I was watching the show and it looked so good that we decided to make it ourselves. Well, it was delicious! Took a little poetic license with it, though.

Was watching the Essence of Emeril when I saw him prepare these, and they looked so good! Here they are; am posting for safe keeping, and hope to be able to try them very soon.

Cottage Living, October 2006, with a bit of tweaking. My daughter loves fresh tuna and salmon, have been looking for different recipes to break the monotony. Didn't include the hour chilling time.

Courtesy of Tyler Florence from Tyler's Ultimate. These looked and sounded so good that I posted this for all to share. June 10/2009 - we keep on making these and here are some of the ideas. We grilled the onions instead of caramelizing them on the stove, added Dijon mustard to the herbed mayo & added it with the scallions & chopped-up parsley & also, added Cheddar both white & sharp (added a nice kick)!
