I got a bar menu on-board ship during our recent cruise & had the names of some specialty drinks, but no recipes for them. Most were tasted, touted by another (there were 6 of us) or just sounded good to me. I did the Zaar searches & most had already been posted to Zaar, but I found a few of the others at the Carnival Connections site.
Doctor, doctor, give me the news.... You'll feel no pain after one of these babies! Another tropical style drink...There are a couple other Pain Killer recipes here on Zaar but neither of them had the same amounts or ingredients. This one is delicious!
From the *Afternoon Delights* section of the Australian Women's Weekly "Cocktail Guide" cookbook & I loved the intro: "During Prohibition in the 1920's, adventurous drinkers began mixing bits & pieces of ingredients together to disguise the taste of the poor quality liquor. We have followed the lead w/gusto, but today there is a tantalizing range of cocktails perfect for sipping in the lazy afternoon." *Happy Birthday Chef Kate*
I saw this recipe in a magazine at my doctor's office this afternoon and then when I was doing some shopping I saw them again advertised as hot chocolate for 2 using the optional ingredients listed. I thought they were very cute to give as gifts to co-workers, teachers, or to include in a gift basket with a special mug. You will need 2 (6 x 12) clear cone bags and 2 clear rubber bands to make the cones. I couldn't list with the ingredients list.
This pretty drink is also refreshing. I use Fresca soda and it is one of my favorite sodas. I was thrilled when I found this because even though I like drinking it from the bottle, this is a special treat for me with two of my other favorite fruits. I usually have to use two jars of cherries to get the 1/2 cup of cherry juice. That's no problem for me, though; I keep lots of cherries on hand because I snack on them.
