This recipe comes from the Moosewood Restaurant. It is a great dip for grilled, roasted, and deep-fried vegetables, as well as strips of roasted chicken. Great for parties and snacking! It stores well, up to 2-3 weeks in the fridge, just reheat and serve!

This is a delicious and unusual hummus recipe that comes courtesy of Linda McCartney (with a few changes). She notes that adding a few chopped fresh spinach leaves will enhance the green color.

I recently visited my brother and sister-in-law. She is a fabulous cook who learned from her mother growing up in Mexico City. She doesn't cook from recipes, but from memory and experience of how she was taught. We had a fabulous meal of beef tacos with this guacamole. I watched so I could make it at home. It's different than most because of the tomatillos, and it's wonderful with the beef. I posted the beef taco recipe separately.

In Tuscany, they puree garlicky fresh fava beans and it is slathered over crispy rounds of crostini and served as an appetizer, Fordhook lima beans have a similar taste and texture! This simple appetizer is wonderful with a glass of sparkling wine like proseco or sauvignon blanc. ;) A scattering of paper thin radish slices provides a juicy crunch and brightens up the plate. You can substitute flat leaf parsley for the mint or a few tablespoons of chopped fresh rosemary. From: The Best of The Best Volume 11. Chef: Paula Disbrowe - From:The Editors of Food & Wine, 2008 :)

I got this basic hummus recipe from a friend, who's husband is a chef. I've adjusted and added a few things to it and we love it just like this. This hummus does not contain tahini, but does contain toasted sesame oil. The greek yogurt helps smooth the consistency and the fresh ground pepper adds just a bit of a bite. Serving size is estimated!
