In search of a nacho cheese recipe, I stumbled upon this recipe. It called for processed American cheese, but that was not going into my dish. I tweaked it a bit and I hope you enjoy. Note: This makes a good base recipe. You can leave it as is or you can put your spin on it.

This is delicious!! I served it on toasted French bread and with crudites. From the local newspaper. (I have made this now with no fat mayo and no fat sour cream and marinated bottled artichokes, turned out fantastic!!)

This recipe calls for Batch 19 lager, but you could probably use any sort of lager to get the taste.

This is a spread I have been making for many years. It goes great with crackers (Saltines are my favorite) or with thinly sliced cocktail breads. (I'm not really sure why it was ever called a "dip"... it is definitely a "spread"). It is a very quick recipe and super easy to make. Can be made a day ahead and refrigerated for ease of serving at a party, just let sit out of the fridge for about 20 minutes before serving to soften a bit. Enjoy!

Who knew jalapeno's were the secret ingredient in terrific guacamole. I'll never leave them out now that I know. You can make this ahead and wrap it in plastic for up to 24 hours (good luck with that, I can't keep my hands off it once it's made). Just make sure the plastic wrap is touching the surface of the guacamole and bring to room temperature and season with additional fresh lime juice and salt before serving. Recipe courtesy of The America's Test Kitchen Family Cookbook.

YOU WILL LOVE THIS! Apple Annie's is a wonderful little tearoom in San Antonio. They make a lot of great tasting dish's. I am listing 2 of the favorites that were posted in the newspaper. Enjoy!

This is great on salad, as a sandwich spread, and as a dip for chicken wings. Different because of the carmelized onions. This is also good on top of crostini. From TOH, with minor adjustments by me.

Tastes JUST like it! Recipe calls for block AMERICAN cheese, Velveeta might work just as well.

This is my locally famous chopped liver. It's definitely not healthy, but it is really good. I have been promised kingdoms and children have been named after me because of my chopped liver. ;-)

Delicious sounding! How can you go wrong with cheese and olives?! Kasseri is a greek cheese made from either sheep's or goat's milk; it has a sharp, salty flavor and a cheddar-like texture. Taken from BH&Gardens Holiday Appetizers 1999 and posted for ZWT.
