Here's FABULOUS chicken and rice dish that is super easy. My family has requested this repeatedly for many years. I had misplaced the recipe, but I found it on the web today!! I am thrilled to share it with you. You're gonna luv it for sure!!
Wonderful vegetarian one-dish meal or could be a side-dish too! Perfect for a winters night. *Healthy Request soup adds 44 calories, 1 gram fat and 1 gram of sugar per serving. Half a can of fried onions adds 61 calories and 4 gram of fat per serving.*
I had some leftover taco meat I was trying to use up for breakfast. I thought about an omelet but wanted to be a little more creative so I made this up this morning and my family loved it! We topped each egg cup with sour cream and cilantro. They also go great with hash browns!
Last Christmas (2008) we got snowed in during a ski trip to Vermont. I had just gone shopping, so I was fairly well stocked up. I just started cooking and this is what I came up with. I used purchased spaghetti sauce, I bet it would be even better with homemade. It has a little bit of heat, you could easily use mild sausage and leave out the red pepper flakes.
Of course a crusty bread and a salad round out this special meal.
I found this on the TOH site and it has quickly become a favorite of my family's. Add a salad and a warm loaf of sourdough and it's perfect comfort food! I generally make the roux and then throw everything in my crockpot to simmer for a couple of hours. I use a cup of the buffalo sauce and 8 oz of Velvetta and it turns out just right for us.
Great meatballs to go with any spaghetti sauce. Make these as large or as small as you like. My family has been making this recipe for over 45 years and my sons often request Spaghetti and Meatballs for their birthdays.
I always make a double batch and freeze in portions for future quick use.
This is a recipe from my sister Connie. I have always loved these meatballs and I hope you enjoy them as well. Once they are cooked, place them in a crockpot on low/warm and take them to any get together.
My very good friend Connie brought these to my house when my husband's grandmother passed away & they were a hit!!! I had to get the recipe to make for future get togethers! So, we'll be having them at our Fourth of July cookout. Yummy!!!!!!! Servings are obviously approximate!!!
