These are soooooooo good, low cal, can be made ahead and are fancy enough to serve to company. These are supposed to only be 2 points apiece.

    Recipe #279176

From American Heart Association Healthy Recipes booklet. A cake that smells like a pineapple upside down cake but without all the fat and calories. The sauce really adds a lot to the cake but is optional if you just want a low-key dessert.

This is a delicious dessert for when you want cheesecake but would like to omit the guilt that comes from eating a traditional cheesecake. I really enjoyed this and I am looking forward to trying out other flavors and combinations!

    Recipe #132236

After trying ENDLESS cheesecake recipes that promised to be healthy and yummy, but ended up tasting like health food, I decided to take this project into my own hands! I've experimented with several combination and finally found the perfect recipe for a healthy cheesecake that taste EXACTLY (if not better) like the real thing. I like to make my own fiber one pie crust, but feel free to use your own recipe or buy one from the store! Enjoy!

    Recipe #377475

    Moist and tasty bars.

    Recipe #316191

Based on a recipe from Marlene Koch’s book, Fantastic Food with Splenda. She says in its intro, “Hoisin is a thick, sweet, spicy condiment used extensively in Asian cuisine. In addition to being spread on pancakes for mu shu pork, it is used for delicious stir-fry barbecue sauces like this one.” She also offers this tip: “Hoisin is made from soybeans, chilies, garlic, ginger, and sugar. Brands vary quite a bit from one to another. It should be very dark and have a complex flavor. Koon Chun is one preferred brand.” Prep and cook times do not include the marinating time.

    Each: 3 POINTS

    Recipe #220945

I'm on a diet, and have had a sweet tooth lately. I decided to use some frozen fruit in the freezer to make a dessert. The result was very tasty, fat-free, and low in calories.

A creamy, cheesy, treasure of a find from the American Heart Association's cookbook. Traditionally we would think of this as a side dish, but at 396 calories per serving I wanted to make sure this recipe would fill us up without having to add large servings of meat or bread. It did! We like it served with 1/2 of a small grilled/broiled chicken breast and steamed veggies, but shrimp would also be a nice accompaniment. I am in constant search of low-fat, heart healthy recipes that actually fill us up. So often we find recipes listed as "low-fat" or "heart healthy" and the serving size is so small a person walks away from the table hungry or we are deceived by the words "low-fat" and eat 4x what the recommended portion size is defeating the original intent. This filling dish generously serves 4. We also like a tsp or so of onion powder added to the cheese mixture. If you are not on a sodium restricted diet, feel free to add salt to taste. The recipezaar database doesn't seem to recognize the yolk free egg noodles or low sodium worcestershire sauce so I will list the Nutrition Values as stated by the AHA. Calories 396, Total Fat 3.0 g, Sat Fat 1.0 g, Poly 0.5 g, Mono 0.5 g, Sodium 389 mg, Cholesterol 21 mg, Carbs 64 g, Protein 23 g, Fiber 3 g, Sugars 10 g. Dietary Exchange- 4 Starch, 2 Very Lean Meat.

These are a perfect Sunday morning breakfast with sugar free maple syrup. You may need to adjust the amount of flour slightly depending an the amount of moisture in the bananas. Yield depends on how big you make the cakes. Baking time also depends on the size of the cakes.

    Recipe #189821

I think this is from the Splenda web site, not sure. Wherever it came from, it is delicious!

    Recipe #367217

These are very tasty fried apples, low in sugar and fat. Great as a dessert served with sugar-free ice cream. Also good served as a side with pork. Use any apple, I like to use fuji or golden delicious.

    Recipe #157548

Got this one off a box of barley. The original recipe was just "Hot Barley Casserole" so I added a bit to it. Nothing fancy here - just yummy chicken and good chewy barley. The original recipe didn't have much in the way of seasonings - I usually add some thyme or sage or other herbs.

    Recipe #198460

Tasty low-fat, hi-fiber side dish to serve with chicken, pork, or fish.

    Recipe #138330

This coleslaw is easy to make and tastes great. My husband thought is was from KFC - only better! Give it a try. It's good with most meats, but I really like it on corned beef or hamburgers.

    Recipe #83205

    Easy and very low fat.
