I had this recipe at a shower over 20 years ago and since then has been a must have at holiday's, graduation parties and get-togethers. I use a glass 9x13-inch dish and after it's done it's really pretty to look at and even better to eat..
It is Better if You use vanilla and not vanilla bean ice cream. Thanks for trying my ice cream recipe. :)
This is similar to bakery frosting and so much better than any canned! --- for extra fluffy frosting use heavy cream and make certain to beat for at least 3-5 minutes and remember to sift the confectioners sugar before using. For flavor and color you can add 1-2 envelopes 3-grams each, Duncan Hines Frosting Creations Flavor Mix, any flavor desired.
so tasty topping desserts. so useful in cooking. This takes no time at all to mix up, but make it the night before you need to use it in a recipe (at least) as it does need 12-14 hours for the cream to sour.
This one may have it, hands down! I am practically sure, my friend, Judy is going to decide that we should try all the Godiva DECADENT chocolate and raspberry recipes she has asked me to find. How much fun, and I get to lick the bowls. Ha! This is for a dinner party she is going to have in Nov. So we have enough time to make a few. Wow! Good thing she has a large family! Approximate times have been posted. It takes 2 hrs. and 30 minutes prep time, plus baking and cooling
A very elegant dessert for a dinner party or a lovely brunch! A puff pastry shell with white chocolate custard, topped with mixed fresh berries and chopped almonds. Can be served either chilled or at room temperature. Didn't include times allowed for thawing puff pastry.
This is delicious and makes a nice presentation. It can be varied with other fruits and flavors of jello. I've given out many copies of this recipe over the years. As it is done in layers that need to chill in between it is best made the day before.
The name says it all! It has a delicious sugar crackle topping that forms by pouring the boiling water over the top before baking. This is my favorite cobbler recipe. Easy, impressive, and versatile. Can use any combination of berries, frozen or fresh.
A light dessert and soooo easy!
* I have also tried sifting confectionery sugar on a dry tea towel( not terry cloth) and turning the cake out on that. (Remove waxed paper carefully. Then try to roll the cake (on the long side) with the cloth as a buffer between each turn/layer. Let it rest for a minute or two then unroll and and let rest for a bit before you spread with jelly/jam . Re-roll. This seems to help keep the roll from tearing so easily.
A crisp salty pretzel crust complements the creamy marshmallow-fluff-like "white" layer, with a tangy topping of strawberries in gelatin. Much like a strawberry cheesecake, but with the surprise of pretzels! For best results, make Strawberry Pretzel Jell-O only one day in advance, to preserve the crunchy texture of the pretzels.
