This apple crisp was brought to our house for dessert by a dear friend named Carla. I had always had an aversion to cooked apples, but I wanted to be polite so I tried it. This has been one of my favorite desserts since then. I was sooo bummed out because it got lost in the move to South Africa. I had lost contact with Carla as well. Then 2 weeks ago, 3 1/2 years later, I FOUND IT! In that one box that was full of "junk" that was so important to bring with us, but not important enough to go through for 3 + years! So here it is:

    Recipe #431679

This is one of my favorite desserts! I love to make this for BBQ's or showers. I doesn't last long so I always make two and keep one at home so my DH doesn't pout :) Enjoy!

    Recipe #409960

Panettone is so good. Recipe is by Giada on the Food Network which I added the vanilla and salt. I love bread pudding and if you use leftover Recipe #261437, it is yummy. Serve it with a simple syrup.

    Recipe #270976

This was the first recipe I ever tried for bread pudding. I love tiramisu & my boyfriend loves bread pudding so it was a hit. Found in a BH&G magazine...the bottom ingredients serve as the glaze on top! Also, the recipe calls for custard cups or ramekins, but I used a 2 qt casserole dish and increased the bake time to 45-50 minutes.

    Recipe #176428

This bread pudding is what I use for holiday dinners

    Recipe #343991

The original of this slightly tweaked recipe was found in the 2009 cookbook, Gingerbread.

The only thing more comforting than a warm bread pudding on a cold day is one drizzled with a warm Amaretto sauce. The tartness of cranberries is a wonderful contrast to the sweeter elements of this dish, while the nuttiness of almonds and Amaretto takes it from "comforting" to gourmet, especially when matched with the rich apple and caramel flavors of Domaine Pinnacle Ice Cider from Quebec, Canada.
