This is a delicious twist on fruit dip. Different from the regular cream cheese based dips, this is lighter and creamier. Serve with fresh fruit slices and squares of pound cake or angel food cake. Hope you enjoy!

    Recipe #135772

This is such a wonderful way of serving your chocolate truffles at Christmas or New Year - or indeed any special winter festival! I do make my own truffles for this, but you can buy ready-made truffles for ease and speed of course! I love to see my family and friend's faces when I bring the coffee and "chocolates" out with this Truffle Tree! Allow yourself plenty of time to assemble this, the plant pot and the tree "trunk" can be prepared beforehand; once the chocolate truffle tree has been assembled, it will be fine for up to 2 days before you need to serve it, stored in a very cool and dry place - NOT a fridge however. I have made this with a well-known gold wrapped chocolate nut truffle before, as well as the white chocolate and coconut version by the same company! The truffles shown in my photos are local hand-made truffles, but any "firm" high chocolate truffle is fine. I have my own truffle recipe posted on zaar, Recipe #271012 which also works very well with this tree! Have fun - and just watch your guest's faces when you bring this out!! NB: You can also make this with marshmallows and other suitable sweets or candy, especially for children.

Chewy sweet and festive! You can use Recipe #47707, prepared pineapple filling, or pineapple preserves.

    Recipe #47625

This cake won $25,000 as the grand prize winner in the 1953 Pillsbury Bake Off in NYC, entered by Lois Kanago of Denver, CO. So lovely, it looks like a French Chef was brought in to prepare. This has been my requested birthday cake ever since I was a small child. Incredibly Delicious!

From Simple and Delicious magazine Sept 2007 - submitted by M. Wiebe. A quick and easy cupcake to throw together that is different from the usual white cupcake. Kids seem to love these. (Prep time does not include time it will take for cupcakes to cool completely).

For those of us who crave peanut butter and brownies together! From the Betty Crocker website.

NOTE ADDED Jan 27, 2012: Please note that this is NOT a serious cake recipe! It is a fun recipe, for a quick choc snack. It may work for you, or you may have to make adjustments, or it might not work for you. Please do not judge this little recipe as if it is a chocolate cake -- as you will see from the reviews, they range from "great!" to "awful!" LOL! ORIGINAL INTRO: This recipe is doing the e-mail rounds! I do not know where it originated, but if you have kids, teenagers, or a sweet tooth yourself, it works!! A chocolate cake in a mug, for one person! Do use a LARGE mug! I never, ever post recipes like this which I have not made, and I'm not a microwave fan, but this one, for parents of the above-mentioned people, just has to be posted. Delicious with whipped cream, ice cream or custard, they say! It must be great to mix a choc cake in a mug, and have a hot "cake" within 3 minutes!!

Perfect for bake exchanges because it makes a huge batch! From Parents Magazine December 2003. Prep time does not include chilling the dough.

    Recipe #142909

I first saw these at a bake sale and was so impressed. You bake a ball of dough in a mini-muffin tin, bake, and press a Reese's peanut butter cup into it after you take it out of oven. You are left with a picture-perfect tart, receiving "oohs and aahs" and "how did you do it?" You could even use the refrigerated sugar/peanut butter cookie dough too.

My kids love to make these cookies, and they make wonderful gifts! A great cookie for vegans or people who are lactose-intolerant.

A great brunch item! One of my husbands favorite filling, baked, french toast style, sandwiches filled with cheese, ham, turkey & mustard. Raspberry preserves is a must for him. Could be eaten for breakfast, lunch or dinner. This is a LESSER FAT Monte Cristo recipe being baked and not fried full of flavor! I also like to buy the low salt cold cuts or use fresh baked turkey leftovers sliced thin.

So nice and easy to enjoy on a cold day... AuntSana took the beautiful picture and kicked it up a notch. She dipped the rim in maple syrup and then in cocoa. Brilliant!

    Recipe #340328

My mom used to make this when I was growing up....you never miss the eggs. Some of the ingredients may not sound like they should be in eggnogg but trust me it's delicious. Try it, you won't be sorry.

    Recipe #149397

If you're in a hurry (or just being lazy!), this quick smoothie is a nice replacement for some eggnog.

These muffins are fool proof! This really is the Jordan Marsh Store recipe that they served in their bakery. Sometimes, my store made special batches with strawberries instead of blueberries. Those were always my favorite... All ingredients should be at room temperature. This recipe is a breeze to cut in 1/2. To keep them from sticking, I make them in white paper cup cake holders and wipe the top of the muffin tin with canola oil. Oh, and if you make a half batch from a pound of berries, try my recipe #348144 with the leftover berries... Enjoy!

    Recipe #311167

My Great Grandmother brought this recipe with her from Scotland to Boston, MA in 1903. I learned how to make it from my Grandmother. To this day, we would not be caught without having this on hand during the Holidays. This recipe is not for the faint at heart. It is a labor of love. The hand kneading process can take up to 20 minutes (really) due to the ingredient ratios. The true keys to the success of this simple, rustic recipe are that the butter needs to be at room temperature (limp) and that you need to use the warmth of your hands to get the entire ball to a glistening stage. The flour needs to melt into the butter and sugar. You need to work it to the point that when cut in half, the interior of the ball glistens like the exterior. I know it sounds like a lot of work but the end results are well worth it. Put on some holiday music and share the process with people you love. Pass the ball around and take turns kneading it. Make some special Holiday memories with your family. I hope you enjoy making, eating and giving this shortbread as a small gift as much as we do... Enjoy!

    Recipe #299917

I like this idea of using a decorative pan to bake shortbread. This recipe came with the pan.

    Recipe #200464

This recipe came from my sister. She would make this every Christmas morning, and serve it with Mimosas.

    Recipe #317944

These are lovely for breakfast and make a great late night snack!
