We all know it is not good for us, but sometimes you just have to have dessert. These are recipes I "gotta" try.

This is another one of those "old family recipes" that every family has a favorite version of.

    Recipe #31212

This cobbler is a very smooth and custard-like dessert that is DELICIOUS. Grandma always made this for us because it was very easy and economical. Serve piping hot from the oven with vanilla ice cream melting over the top. This is an unbelievably delicious dessert! You can also substitute almost any other fruit for the peaches.

A coworker brought this in the other day and if I could have flung myself face first into the pan--well, I considered it:) One of those layered pudding type desserts that almost everyone can enjoy.

    Recipe #266798

Easy to make and so many uses, I like to mix a few tablespoons with some rum and drizzle that over coconut ice cream. Not to forget it is a nice gift.

    Recipe #41567

A friend from Beaumont, TX (whose name also happens to be Linda,) gave this to me recently. She is famous for it, and she shared it with me........so, now, I am passing it on to all of you! Enjoy it!

    Recipe #419992

This recipe is from a blog online. This dessert is very colorful (use your imagination for the colors that look good together). I recommend red, blue, yellow and green. Kids will love it! "Zaar wouldn't let me post 2 envelopes of unflavored gelatin (like Knox). The envelopes are .25 oz. each.

    Recipe #416317

I found this in mom's recipe file after she died and knew I just had to make sure I had a copy of it. What better place to put the recipe than here, since that means I can print it from anywhere I can get online? As a child it was one of my favorite desserts, even though mom only made it for pot-lucks and such. She usually made it with walnuts. She also noted that this could be frozen. I need to try this with 1 cup whipping cream whipped for the top layer and not in the cream cheese layer. (I'm trying to get away from using Cool Whip.)

    Recipe #341947

I have been using this method for 30 years, no more thin runny whipped cream and your whipping cream will hold up for days this, is fabulous on cakes --- for 2 cups whipping cream use 2 tsp gelatin in 2 tbsp cold water.

    Recipe #79506

With only very few ingredients and five minutes to make it just couldn't get any easier and it tastes so good! ---it goes great with bread pudding, over ice cream and with desserts :)

Here it is folks! First time ever in print! My Mom's famous hot chocolate sauce for ice cream sundaes. These are ingredients you more than likely always have on hand. Try this once and you will never buy store bought sauce again!

    Recipe #19678

Mom's recipe. Delicious!!!! I am posting a Vanilla Sauce (Recipe #16132) to go with this. Enjoy!

An easy and tasty bread pudding.

    Recipe #14322

My hubby can't get enough of this! He LOVES it warm with vanilla ice cream!

    Recipe #108209

This is a new topping that I now use on my Chocolate Cream Pie Recipe #323633. It is fluffy and just the right compliment to this wonderful, tasty pie. It makes alot and you may want to make only half of a recipe. Me, I prefer to have it all on my pie...it is so beautiful piled high!!

A simple blueberry dessert recipe. Comes from the Pillbury Bake-Off Dessert Cookbook (1980's).

    Recipe #22311

This is comfort food at its finest. I love it hot, I love it warm, but I absolutely adore it ice-cold from the refrigerator. Personally, I think it belongs in it's own food group. But perhaps I'm biased. :D Hmmm, I think I might need to go make some tapioca pudding after posting this recipe... DH loves it when I make this, and I like that I don't have to fuss with soaking the tapioca overnight. I never remember to do that... (P.S. Decisions, decisions...they want to know how many servings? I suppose I should say something other than one, huh? LOL)

    Recipe #107575

I don't know where I got this, but it works. The whipped cream will keep for a week in the fridge without deflating... great for party make-ahead.

    Recipe #74805

Even plain vanilla or chocolate ice cream is special with this topping. Buying this at the store is so expensive! Make your own and save. Store in the refrigerator; keeps for several weeks. Cooking time included in preparation time because of stirring. If you like the texture to be a bit crunchy, bake the nuts in a 350ºF oven for 5-7 minutes first. NOTE: Adding a tablespoon of Wet Nuts to your morning bowl of oatmeal is an easy way to sweeten it and add texturel!
