My Grandmother has been using this for years! For those of you who love to bake a quick 2 layer cake, this filling is a must & goes great with fruit too!
**NOTE** I recently used this filling for my son's 4th Birthday Cake (Pictured the Krabby Patty Cake in the photos) I used Jello's Brand Banana Cream Pudding and instead of adding 1 tsp of the Vanilla extr. I used 1 tsp of Coconut Extract. I put sliced Strawberries on top of that and it truly was a great tropical type of flavor! I also did the bottom tier with reg. Choco. Pudding and then sliced bananas on that. You can truly use so many types of Flavors. I did like the Banana w.Coconut flavor though! Yum!
This recipe was shared with us from some dear friends. My husband and her husband served in the same National Guard unit in Utah. We spent a Thanksgiving with them and this was one of the outstanding salads she prepared.
I made this for the first time last summer for my husband's birthday. He loves anything with meringue. It was a major hit with all my guests even my fussy children. When I was going to make it again, I noticed that my husband had added a comment to the recipe, "Make Again"!
I made my daughter's wedding cake using this recipe. It turned out fantastic. The texture is just perfect for a wedding cake -- not too fluffy so it breaks from the weight, but also not overly dense. The flavor, texture and moistness were just right. I made two batches of the batter for a three-tiered wedding cake using 14", 10" and 6" pans that were 3-inches deep. I had enough extra batter for a 9" layer (not a deep pan). This recipe was originally created by Rebecca Sutterby.
Found this in the latest Kraft Food & Family magazine. Couldn't resist it b/c of the pineapple/coconut combo! Pina Colada, here I come! I will be adding some rum flavoring to both the cake and the topping along with coconut flavoring; and will also make this in a disposable foil pan for convenience.
Yummy cupcakes to make that the kid will love! Decorate to fit any theme you need-holidays, b-day parties, showers--you name it! I LOVE the butterscotch (my fav flavor) but chocolate is fabulous as well!!
If you are looking for an everyday common key lime pie then this is not for you, the addition of beaten egg whites added to the filling is what makes this pie stand out from any other recipe! if you want a less fluffier pie then just use two egg whites instead of three. Prep time includes freezer time. This pie may also be served frozen just thaw slightly before slicing
This is a Kraft Interactive Kitchen recipe, posted per a request for glazed cake recipes. Not exactly a cake for the fat-and-calorie conscious, but very good nonetheless. Moist, lemony and sweet, a regular in my cake recipe rotation.
This cake has been a standard in our family for over 40 years. My grandmother made it, taught my mother who taught me, who taught my daughters. This was my grandmother's signature cake and is a staple at all church functions and a must at any family gathering!
