A delicious, thick and very satisfying smoothie. The molasses really adds to the authentic gingerbread flavor of this smoothie so please do not leave it out. This makes one very large smoothie that DH and I always split as it is so filling neither of us can finish one by ourselves. Recipe source Popsugar.

I came across a lot of different Salted Caramel Cashew Bar recipes this season and everyone had one reason or another as to why I would not make it. So this is my tweaked version of Tutti Dolci’s recipe.

This Latin flavored soup is so flexible that it can easily be made vegan and the garnishes and spice can be increased or decreased depending on your taste. This is a nice thick soup if you like your soup thinner increase the liquid using equal amounts of stock and milk. To save time the sweet potato can be baked the night before when you are making dinner. I spotted the original recipe on pinterest and have slightly tweaked again attesting to the flexibility of the recipe.

**update 01/14/2014 I have made this twice and both the first time it turned out perfect the second time I doubled the recipe, baking both loafs at the same time both took longer to get done and even thought the tooth pick came out clean the bread looked and acted a bit under done. Be forward that this is very dense and moist bread that may require some additional cook time** This interesting sounding bread was described by gimme some oven (which is also were it comes from) truly, this pumpkin beer bread recipe highlights the best parts of both pumpkin bread and beer bread. The bread was nice and tangy from the yeast, and perfectly buttery and chewy — like beer bread. But then the bread also had a nice subtle hint of pumpkin, with a few little spices — like pumpkin bread. The best thing, though, is that it is not overly sweet, like many pumpkin breads. Rather, there is just a hint of sweet and a very subtle hint of pumpkin. The perfect bread to be served with an autumn dinner, or with

This is a very flexible recipe. These baked apples are stuffed with nut butter (have made with both almond butter and peanut butter) and chocolate chips. **The amounts below are estimates as the amount you will need will very with how big your apple is and how much you hallow it out.

A easy Gremolata that we enjoy on grilled lamb and pork as well as on grilled veggies. We like to smoke eggplant than sprinkle with it a little feta cheese and top it off with this Gremolata. I usually make a double batch as my family likes to us a lot. We have also enjoyed this on Raviolis. 10 minute rest time not included.

With such an abundance and wide verity of tomatoes available it is nice find a salad that enjoys using a verity of them. This recipe calls for two different types of couscous so what looks like a double post in the ingredients is not it what it need to make both types of couscous. The original recipe was from Yotam Ottolenghi but I have tweaked it to make it easier to make and to give it more flavor. See tips at end of recipe. I recommend making and letting stand at room temperature for 30 minutes before serving and that time is not include in cook time.

This classic digestive tea will help alleviate bloating and trapped gas. Fennel seeds are sweet anise-flavored herbs long revered in Europe and Asia for their health benefits. The seeds contain phytochemicals, anti-oxidants, dietary fiber, alkalizing minerals (magnesium, zinc, potassium & calcium) and the vital vitamins, A, B and E. They also contain essential oil compounds that have digestive and anti-flatulent properties; and when ingested with ginger and peppermint, combine for a natural bloating remedy. Fennel tea is said to be great for nursing mothers with colicky babies. from Hail Merry

This is a cool coffee drink that is brewed by allowing it to stand at room temperature for 12 hours and thus not heating up your house on an already hot day. *We prefer dark roast for the fuller flavor but you could use regular roast.

The intro on this states "Traditionally enjoyed by Latino children, this dish makes a refreshing summer snack with a surprising combination of flavors that any adventurous eater can enjoy!" When I saw it post on allrecipes.com was reminded of a delicious watermelon jalapeno gazpacho I had tried once years ago and though I just had to bring over here.

    Recipe #503216

This is another quick, cool and healthy summer treat that is low fat and dairy free. I like to break my over ripe bananas into chucks before freezing them so that they are ready to go when making banana bread or ice cream. The prep time will depend on your food processer, mine only takes about 2 - 4 minutes, bananas should be frozen sold (like overnight).

A delightful cool treat that is healthier than regular ice cream but still has a creamy rich flavor. I like to break my over ripe bananas into chucks before freezing them so that they are ready to go when making banana bread or ice cream. The prep time will depend on your food processer, mine only takes about 2 - 4 minutes, bananas should be frozen sold (like over night).

I do not have an ice cream maker and am always watching my fat intake and weight so when I found this on Pinterest post from a blog called Crazy for Crust I knew I had to bring it over for safe keeping. The cook time is really the freeze time.

A very easy homemade Thai sauce that is sweet with a nice little bit of heat. This sauce is great for dipping and cooking both. While not what we call hot you can cut the red pepper flakes in half or omit the Sriracha to cut the heat. This recipe comes from Life Tastes Like Food.

    Recipe #502164

Mixed berries topped with a delightful rich crumble of nuts and dates. This is great with a scoop of vanilla ice cream, but recently took this to a pot luck were it was a hit even without the ice cream on the side. The original recipe is from Whole Foods Market.
