WOW WOW WOW...I don't know how to describe this...if you like KAHLUA and Chocolate, MAKE THIS! I don't mean to yell, but I can't contain myself :) Several hours of chill time are required, so keep that in mind.
This has been one of my favorites for years. I made it for my inlaws when my husband and I were dating. It was such a hit, I knew I was "in" when his grandmother asked me if she could share some with her friends at Bingo.
My boyfriend has actually said that, if forced to choose in a life-or-death situation, he might go with this dessert over me. But it's so good that I'm not really that offended. I got this recipe from his mom, and I think it's from a newspaper column dating back to the 1980s. I like to serve this with a creme anglaise -- I'm still perfecting my version so I haven't included it, but I'm sure there's a great creme anglaise somewhere on this website.
I just saw this on Paula Deen and can't wait to make it! (Might have to get the ingredients the next grocery trip..hehehe) They looked delicious. NOTE: Any of the leftover chocolate sauce can be put into custard cups, refrigerated and served as pudding!
