This is a good cocktail using Chambord. I think it might be good blended as a smoothie too.

This recipe comes from Nicavid's Bakery & Cafe in San Antonio, and I was delighted to see it published in the local paper's "Chef's Secrets" column. Delicious hot or cold.

Recipe by Chris Schlesinger. In order for the flavor of the rub to really penetrate the meat, we removed the skin and most of the fat

A very elegant way to serve strawberries! Try this for your next brunch.

    Recipe #121956

This is a Chinese dessert that I found to submit for the Zaar World Tour '05... Coconut milk lends a sweet flavor to bananas in this quick and easy recipe. It makes a light dessert for two, or can easily be doubled to serve four people.

    Recipe #134854

Refreshing & spicy. Found especially for the recipe swap. I think champagne, wine or juice could be substituted for the Madeira or Sherry. The prep time doesn't include chilling time.

Quebec snow crab is combined with broccoli, oven-poached and served on a sauce, nouveau cuisine fashion. This appetizer is the creation of Chef Denis Pelletier of Moulin de St. Laurent, a contemporary French restaurant located in an old stone mill in the village of St. Laurent on Ile d'Orleans. Ramekins can be filled ahead and oven poached at the last minute, or you can reheat the cooked flan in a microwave oven for about 2 minutes at Medium (50 percent).

This is an old Danish recipe from 1870 - 1880. Originally it was made of smoked fat instead of bacon and vinegar instead of Worcestershire sauce.

I've adapted many versions to arrive at this. THE PICKY ONE claims it's her favorite dish. So here it is.....as always, feel free to modify heat levels! This recipe is easily halved or multiplied.

    Recipe #183540

I found this at a vegetarian Middle eastern recipe site & it was different enough to submit for my own NA*ME cookbook.

    Recipe #185492

A simple, fairly quick recipe to enjoy as the nights grow cooler. And as NA*ME Tag gets busier! ;)

    Recipe #173611

A basic, homey, simple soup. According to food historians, fassolatha (pronounced fah-so-LAH-thah) has been around since ancient Greek times. It is the national dish of Greece, representing the best of the Greek way of cooking: legumes, vegetables, herbs, and olive oil. Serving suggestions: Serve Fassolatha with a side of feta cheese sprinkled with pepper and oregano and doused in olive oil, crusty bread, black olives, and salty dishes like anchovies, smoked herring, or others of your choice.

This is a very simple & satisfying soup with a lot of flavors & textures. I knew I had to enter it into RSC#8 when my usually picky 9yo dd requested the leftovers for breakfast!!! Cook time *does* include coconut prep time for which instructions are included below.

    Recipe #161359

A new twist on an old favorite just for RSC#8! The secret is the fresh grated ginger... ;)

From North India. If you're like me & enjoy experimenting, go to the nearest Indian store (or online) & order up as many kinds of dal as you can & then find ways to use them! This was posted on a vegetarian website & I like the recipe so I swiped it to share here. Once you have the ingredients, it's a breeze to make! **The 2 hour soak time is NOT included in the cook time**

A German stew for ZWT '05. Comfort food as the weather turns colder. Finally.
