    Crockpot--Pork

I'm trying to make better use of my crockpot and am always looking for variety. These are the recipes I've found on 'zaar that sound good. I was also sent a link (thanks, Lee!) to some others: http://busycooks.about.com/od/porkrecipes/index.htm

This is a DELICIOUS and healthy way to make tacos carnitas! It's not spicy but the meat if fall-apart tender and flavorful! It's super easy to make. If you want it spicier, you may want to up the seasoning. Cooked as is, it's perfect for my kids to eat. I usually just spice up my individual taco to my liking. Enjoy! NOTE: If your crockpot cooks hot (like mine!) I cook this on low for 4 hours and it's PERFECT!

    Recipe #358483

Over the year's people have called me Simpy, hence the recipe name. About 10 years ago, I have never heard of Carnitas, I had it one time in a restaurant and wanted to make it all the time. I found out how easy it was and just put my own twist on it. This is a very easy dish to make and very delicious.

    Recipe #4085

Very flavorful filling for tacos (hard or soft) from "The Well-Filled Tortilla. This is not spicey at all...but very tasty. Some of you may need to "kick it up a notch" But we love the flavor of this

This recipe is a sort of "stone soup." I dug around in the fridge and added whatever I could find. I was pretty impressed with the end result. It's very versatile as you can add pretty much any veggie to it.

    Recipe #71869

I have made this a number of times over the years, a long marinating time and slow cooking is the secret here! this is an easy recipe with wonderful results! --- you must plan ahead the roast needs to marinate for 24 hours or even up to 3 days --- if you are a garlic lover cut slits in the roast and stuff with whole garlic cloves if desired, If you have plastic gloves then use them to rub the spices into the meat if not be careful the cayenne is very hot --- you will love this!

    Recipe #158591

An easy recipe that produces tender pork chops with a wonderful gravy, I used a 3/4-inch thick center cut pork chops and browned them first, you may increase the amount of pork chops and double the sauce recipe, this can also be made in the oven for a shorter time :)

    Recipe #181770

This can also be made using chicken pieces or breasts, top the sauce over potatoes, the sauce is delicious! use you favorite BBQ sauce for this, I like KC Masterpiece. For extra flavor and less cooking time you can brown the pork chops or chicken before placing in the slow cooker. Cooking time is only estimated depending on the thickness of the pork chops. Reduce the recipe by half for 4-6 pork chops, this is *very* good! ;-)

    Recipe #227509

Pork butt is a less-expensive cut, but cooking at a very low temperature ensures a tender, juicy roast, and it dissolves fat and connective tissue, This can also be made in a slow cooker set on high for 30 minutes, then turned down to low for the day, oven cooking time will vary depending on the size of your roast -- I have made this in the past, and it is very good! :)

    Recipe #247715

New to slow cooking, I recently came across this recipe while perusing a cookbook from Mom's collection. Though I have not tried this yet, I'm keeping it here safe for when the time comes. I'm guessing that the honey mustard can be replaced with a combination of equal parts dijon mustard and honey.

    Recipe #201869

If you are looking for a different taste from your normal beef tortillas, this recipe will work.

Makes great barbecue sandwiches! You can use your favorite cola and sauce to vary the tastes. Good to freeze in smaller portions and pull out as needed.

    Recipe #43186

Great comfort food!! Just make some mashed potatoes and a vegetable and your set. Gravy is jammin!

    Recipe #40029

Just a little something I threw together in the crockpot. Goes nicely over cooked noodles or rice, or even better- with a nice loaf of crusty Italian bread to soak up the sauce. Some nice Chianti wine would be excellent with this!

This is a rather unusual recipe that I came up with using the crockpot with outstanding results. You can serve this up alone, in taco shells, or soft tortillas...any way, the result is great! Nopalitos (cactus pieces) have a flavor that is all their own, but can be kind of like a mild artichoke flavor and if it is spiced in the jar, can have a little green chile taste. You can get the nopalitos in the Mexican section of your supermarket or any Mexican grocer.

    Recipe #88944

I printed this years ago from about.com who listed it from the National Pork Producers Council. This is a great recipe and when my grill was out of commission, I tried in my crock pot as well. I am glad I fought the temptation to increase the lemon and garlic, because the amounts listed are just right.

    Recipe #32883

Very tasty sandwich for five minutes of work. Then let your slow-cooker do the rest of the work while you are at work.

    Recipe #28817

A low-fat way to serve Mexican.

This is a little different than the usual barbecue sauce. It has a nice Cajun flavor. The tomatoes make an excellent sauce for the tender shredded pork. This recipe is from Easy Meals by Betty Crocker.
