The crock pot & your favorite bottled BBQ sauce or my recipe for Recipe #277503 makes cooking up these delicious sandwiches very easy. The meat is tender & practically shreds itself. I've been making this recipe for 20 years & always get rave reviews.
...or Grapeballs or Those Meatball Things You Make! There are a lot of copies of this old favorite out there, and here's my version. It has a few more ingredients than the usual, but they make these tasty tidbits even more incredibly delicious!
I grew up working in our family restaurants around New Orleans, which is known as "The Big Easy" or "The Crescent City" (due to the shape of the Mississippi River which runs through the heart of this southern city). Like most mom & pop places, we always served Red Beans & Rice on Monday. Always! I've changed the restaurant version a bit to reflect the fact that I use my Crockpot now. I hope you enjoy these yummy beans as much as I did growing up and as my own family now does. Serve over hot, fluffy white rice and a warm piece buttered and grilled French Bread with a side salad or bowl of coleslaw. Sweet iced tea rounds this awesome southern dish off quite nicely.
Delicious squash combined with nutty rice and tangy goat cheese is a healthy delight, providing a hefty dose of fiber, vitamins A and C, and a little calcium. Serve whole or cut into wedges. This is from Delicious Living magazine, which I get from my health food store. Any good winter squash can be used.
I love this Crock-Pot chicken recipe for two reasons: one, my family loves it and two, it is so easy to make! I got this recipe from my sister. She has two children of her own, and they love it too! It's also the best leftovers in the world -- if there are any!
Tender, fall-off-the-bone chicken! Skip the overnight refrigeration if you are in a hurry. For variety, eliminate the onion and substitute a quartered lemon or two, stuffed into the chicken cavity. Chef Shapeweaver had a good suggestion: Use Fajita Seasoning Mix #28011 as another variation. Thanks! The standard size slow cookers are a bit too small and a whole chicken won't fit. You'll need a 6-quart slow cooker for this recipe.
I got this recipe from our local news station. It is so easy and taste wonderful. My husband said it's the best pork he has ever had, and my girls love it too. You will find the Mojo in the mexican food section of your grocery store.
Simple but tasty slow cooked pork roast recipe. The pork comes out very moist & tender with great flavor. This is a great recipe that you can cook in half the time on high, but mostly I cook it on low when I'm out of the house longer than 6-8 hours. You can also add additional seasonings to fit your tastes, sometimes I add Rosemary or Thyme or Basil or Oregano or Garlic or Onion Powder... etc... This also works well with thick cut pork chops too instead of loin roast.
Children, adults and teenagers all love this savory chili with its unusual cornbread topping. A great finish to a day of hiking or skiing, all it needs is a big salad and some robust red wine. Serve with plenty of your favorite salsa, sour cream and finely chopped red or green onion.
I love this recipe—it is so delicious and easy to make. The secret ingredient is a flavorful steak sauce. I prefer HP Sauce, a British brand, but any well loved variety will do. Be sure to include mounds of steamy mashed potatoes to soak up the mouth watering sauce.
