    Garden Vegetables and Sirloin Soup
    Handle

You don't have to have inclement weather to enjoy a bowl of hearty, tummy warming soup. This is comfort food for any time of year. Here is my take on a protein enriched vegetable soup, which includes whole grain quinoa and slices of sirloin steak. Tip: Place steak in the freezer for 1/2 hour prior to using. Slightly frozen steak will be easier to slice. Created for the 2011 Craze-E Soups or Sandwiches Contest.

Spicy Beef and Bean Soup With Oven Roasted Peppers
    Handle

This soup has a Tex-Mex influence that’s perfect for warming up on a chilly winter night. It features premium sirloin beef, protein and fiber-rich white beans and a trio of fresh oven-roasted peppers for extra flavor. It does have a fair amount of “heat”, so adjust the peppers and seasonings to suit your own taste buds. You can stretch the servings a bit more by adding more fresh or frozen vegetables if you like, such as chopped celery, pearl onions, corn, or green beans.

    1 Reviews |  By PaulaG

    Kicked-Up Turkey & Havarti Melt
    Handle

Turkey & havarti is a great combo on its own, and this is a fun twist on it for those who like some spicy heat! Thin deli-sliced turkey makes the sandwich a little more compact, but leftover turkey will be just as tasty, if a bit messier to eat. Feel free to adjust the cayenne pepper and jalapeno amounts (or deseed the jalapeno to lower the heat) to your taste.

This is a savory sandwich with a nice hint of sweet brown sugar. The cranberry bun is very easy to make and really brings this breakfast to the next level. If you do not use salted butter you may want to sprinkle a dash of salt on the eggs while they cook. Please don't be worried about the long list of directions, it's really not hard to make!
