    It's next to impossible to find ricotta cheese here in Mexico so decided to try the recipe in my Cruising Cuisine cookbook and it's WONDERFUL, and so easy too! Plan to continue to make my own Ricotta even when we get back to the states! I make mine in the crockpot, which pretty much eleminates the possibility of scourching the milk, however it can be made on the stove top, but watch it carefully.

    My hubby and I went to Carrabba's tonight for dinner and I had a wonderful bowl of their Minestrone Soup. I begged them for the recipe but they said it's secret and are not allowed to give it out. So, as soon as I got home, I googled it and found this recipe at a copycat recipe website. I only hope that it comes close! I have no idea of the serving size that this recipe makes though.

    This is a good likeness to A 1 sauce. I don't eat steak a lot and this recipe makes only 6 servings.It keeps up to 3 months in the fridge. My uncle made me this when I was in Germany. They did not have steak sauce in the house. Very easy and quick to make.

    If you bake and cook everyday then this is a must to have in your cupboard, it's so much cheaper than using cooking spray and works even better than Pam cooking spray, no chemical fumes and will not leave burnt on black residue on the edges of your pans like cooking spray will and will keep forever in your cupboard --- for baking recipes using chocolate you may use 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder in place of white flour or 1/4 cup each cocoa powder and flour --- this may be increased or decreased sucessfully just make certain that *all* three ingredients are the same amounts or the mixture will not work as well ;-)

    This was adapted from Aliza Green from Field Guide to Herbs & Spices. A little different from the recipes already here. Traditionally, this seasoning is used for steamed crabs, but is now used for fish, potato salad, potatoes, and other vegetables. This would also make a great gift, along with some recipes! Enjoy!

    I am so glad everyone loves these as much as I do! I have made a few changes to clarify how to prepare them to look like the cheesecake factory, but as everyone has found out, being pretty doesn't effect the taste! Thank you again everyone!! I know this seems like a really hard recipe but it really isnt, alot of the ingriedients are used more than once. I usually make it by hand without a blender, and I consider it a just cause, a blender would make it even more of a snap! This is a copycat of The Cheesecake factory appetizer which is heavenly! I garauntee that you will enjoy it. I found it online and in a weird place so I figure putting it here is only the right thing to do. Please try it :) I put 4 servings, its enough calories to feed 8 but really only enough to share greedily with 2. LOL

    Posted by request, this came from TSR. I haven't actually tried it myself, nor have I ever been to a Baja Fresh restaurant, but I've gotten pretty good results with many other TSR recipes. Note: prep and cook time are estimated, and the key points are the firm, chilled tomatoes and stem-side-down start to blackening them.

    I found this on topsecretrecipes.com. The extra vanilla makes the house smell heavenly when these are baking. The key to these cookies is to not bake them past the recommended 10 minutes. This way after they cool they will be nice and chewy. Mmmmmm!
