These are delicious. The cream cheese in the cookie dough really adds a softness, and makes the cookies taste really flaky and rich. They're a great addition to one's Christmas cookie recipes.

This is quick and easy! Chilling makes handling these easier. Option for a lemon glazed cookie--all you have to do is in place of the water use the frozen lemon concentrate for a real tart cookie and/or use lemon cake mix. Then mix a bunch of powdered sugar with the frozen lemon contentrate thats at room temperature for a nice tart icing! Pictures uploaded here on Nov 27 using carrot cake mix, 1/4 cup coconut, 1/4 cup chopped nuts then sprinkled with cinnamon sugar before and after baking. Dec 10 used chocolate cake mix and chocolate mint chips.

I got these from a co worker and she told me they tasted like Girl Scout Cookies so I tryed them. I am do have to say they taste as close to the Girl Scout cookies as you can get. Prep times includes the chilling.

From A Passion for Baking by Marcy Goldman. http://www.oxmoorhouse.com/product/cooking/traditional+cooking/a+passion+for+baking+.do I am posting for safe keeping. I saw the recipe in Dec., 2007 Family Magazine. The recipe states "These morsels are tender and wonderfully buttery tasting, with crisp edges, chewy centers, and gooey chocolate. If you want them doubly rich, with molten chocolate chunks studding the cookie landscape, use freshly chopped semisweet chocolate. Large cookies bake up into crinkly, dense, chewy cookies; smaller ones are more delicate and tender-crisp."

Even rerolled cookies are tender IF you use a mixture of flour and powdered sugar when rerolling the dough.

This is my Grandmother’s recipe, we called her “Nana Mae”. They lived the farm my grandfather and father were born on in the “tip of the thumb” of Michigan. We spent all our vacations there and every summer we knew she’d have cookies for us waiting in the pantry. Some years we got lucky and she put chocolate chips in them, but mostly we knew they’d have raisins because they were “good for us.”
