I haven't purchased tartar sauce in many years. We do not like any hint of sweetness, preferring the combination of dill pickle, lemon, onion and Worcestershire to flavor the sauce. This will keep a long time in the refrigerator.
Note to World Tour participants - this recipe is included in the British category. Similar sauce recipes (making the mayonnaise from scratch, of course) go back to Medieval times, and have been found in British books as early as 1685. It's also wonderful served with fish and chips, if you aren't very fond of malt vinegar.
This is a very flavorful rub for beef. However, I must caution you it does have a bit of a bite! If you like things a little spicy you really need to give this a try. It is wonderful on grilled steaks, broiled steaks and roasts cooked both in the oven or the crock pot. Ya gotta love that.
Your fish is begging for this wonderfully creamy and tasty tartar sauce. Perfect with my fool-proof crispy Beer Battered Cod recipe(#138647). A sure hit... you can omit the capers...although that would be a crying shame. Enjoy!
This hearty waffle recipe comes from an issue of Parent's Magazine. Ive made it every week for years and it comes out great every time. I double it and freeze the leftover waffles and reheat in toaster oven.
