This is my kids' favorite meal. And it's so easy to prepare, that they often do it themselves! It's very cheesy! I've also made this and cooked it in the microwave during the summer. Freezing instructions included. If you prefer, you may sub in ricotta cheese for the cottage cheese.
I've made this for many years. You can even use this as a base step and begin adding herbs it's that versatile. Can be made without mushrooms,-- add carrots, or no vegetable. Serve with garlic mashed potatoes or rice. My entire family likes this one.
I found this recipe years ago in the Best Recipes from the backs of boxes, bottles, cans and jars cookbook. It's still my husband's favorite meatloaf. I usually add another can of soup for the gravy so that we have plenty to pour over mashed potatoes too. Most times I also add some sauteed mushrooms to the gravy.
Don't use the thinner spaghetti and cook a minute or two less if you usually like your pasta al dente! Oh my goodness... A fellow RN brought this to work once. I have been asking her for TWO YEARS for the recipe and have searched and searched the internet. Finally she emailed it to me! This one dish meal is so freaking good!!!!! Don't be afraid of the ingredients , just try it! Your family will probably fight over the leftovers!
A quick and easy way to prepare a tasty and filling pasta dish, originally from Mr. Food. Just use your favorite bottled spaghetti sauce. You can use any shape of pasta. I do add more cheese, but I love cheese!
These potatoes are a staple in our home. Whether accompanying roast lamb or chicken, or just on their own, we have them a couple of times a week. They are delicious and the ones that get overly-brown in the pan and stick a bit are MINE! Clean up is a little tricky with this recipe, unless you line your pans with foil, but I find that just filling the pan up with hot, sudsy water and forgetting for an hour (something I apparently have no problem doing ;-)) helps a lot.
My dad and his wonderful 'budget' meals. His memory lives on in his 'pull stuff out of the fridge and make a meal' Here is another one of my favorites from him. It's a homemade hamburger helper of sorts. All Lite-Bleu recipes are complete meals that we designed for our weight loss diet. Please visit our homepage for more info.
A great-tasting, easy recipe that I found in Martha Stewart's Real Simple magazine. The leftovers are good to reheat for lunch the next day, too. For those more careful eaters, use light cheese and turkey pepperoni. Unless you are a grease-fiend, the end result will taste just as good. Omit the pepperoni for a vegetarian meal.
A delicious one dish meal that is full of flavor and will be cooked in less than 1 hour. The only prep time is for 2 cups of water to boil; and make sure the chicken is thawed if previously frozen. I got this recipe from my Brand Named Best Loved Casseroles book, in the "Dinner in Minutes" chapter.
