I find it very difficult nowadays to find a good, fruity smoothie recipe. Some are too smooth, some are to chunky, and some are too yogurty. I feel like Goldilocks! This is by far my favorite smoothie recipe. You can use whatever type of fruit you like; my favorite is with mango, blueberries, raspberries, and blackberries. Great way to get kids to get calcium and vitamin C! For dieters, you can use non-fat Greek-style plain yogurt. Feel free to add healthful supplements!
This dough is very easy to work with. We use this gingerbread to make our annual gingerbread houses. One recipe makes 3 fair sized gingerbread houses. This is also works excellent for gingerbread people. From Good Housekeeping Dec 94
I bought a ton of fresh fruit at the start of the week and it is now Saturday and there is the odd bit of fruit still left in the fridge that must not have much time left in it. I hate throwing food away but know I won't get to eating it all one bit at a time before it goes off. So, I threw it all in the smoothie maker and decided to see what would happen. I ended up really enjoying the results. I used Greek yoghurt because it is what I had and my lactose intolerance doesn't flair up if I use it. I am sure you could use any fat free yoghurt though. This made two big smoothies for me but could easily be four smaller ones.
