I got this recipe from a Pampered Chef consultant who was doing a cooking demonstration in my home. I have searched and have not found this exact recipe - which I love even though I am not a wine drinker. Hope you enjoy it as much as I do.
I just bought this amazing book entitled MIX SHAKE STIR. After reading through it last night I had to try one of these cocktails ASAP! It includes recipes from several of New York's finest restaurants. Stay tuned, as I know I'll be posting many of these in weeks to come! The author suggests to spruce up this drink by adding a watermelon wedge briefly seared on a hot grill.
Adapted from the Reata restaurant in Fort Worth, TX from their cookbook "Reata Legendary Texas Cuisine". These days 50 bucks will just about fill up your tank and we're not only talking gasoline here. You see, Reata's got a $50 margarita that's the best darn indulgence this side of the oil fields. Please don't wait until your well becomes a gusher before you try it. Sometimes just making it to the end of a long hard day is enough of a victory to splurge on this first-class cocktail.
This recipe came from the Food Network show, Cooking For Real. I haven't made it yet, but it sounds like just the kind of thing to have while doing some outdoor cooking. I'm posting here so I don't lose it and for nutrition counts.
