I called this Christmas Treats because at Christmas time I bake these wonderful treats and give them as gifts. You can certainly bake them for your own family. I have personally tried all of these recipes and would not hesitate to include any of them in the "goodie" boxes I give away at Christmas.
This fudge would be great served at Halloween or Thanksgiving due to the flavor and color. The cinnamon flavor is actually very mild and the fudge turns out very creamy and soft. For ease in cutting and to avoid breaking it I heat my knife under hot tap water, wipe dry and then cut in long strokes without lifting the knife up and down. The cook time includes time to cool.
The strawberry flavor is a refreshing change from chocolate fudge. I chose to add the pecans, but if you don't care for them you can leave them out . Also, be sure to stir constantly because it will stick to the bottom of the saucepan if you don't. The cook time includes time for cooling.
This is a Taste Of Home recipe that originally called for 1 1/4 cups dried cherries. Since I find the white chocolate to be so sweet I subbed cranberries to give it a little tartness. I buy the pistachios already roasted to save time and if I can find peeled ones that's even better. I think next time I make this I'm going to double the cranberries and pistachios - I'll come back and post my thoughts on doubling these ingredients after a taste test. This makes a very pretty and festive looking bark for the holidays. Also, I find Merckens has a much better taste so if possible use Merckens which is sometimes packaged under the brand name of CK Products.
POPULAR cookies at parties, weddings or on a cookie tray. They melt in your mouth! Very impressive and addictive! I have been making these cookies for 45 years. These are also the same cookies that our dear "Meme" calls butter balls. Yield is approximate as it depends on how large you form each cookie. I have never known anyone to not like this cookie! I have always used real butter for this recipe.
From "All Time Favorite Recipes". For fun, try substituting Butterscotch or white chocolate chips for the semi-sweet and/or peanut butter chips. Make sure you cool it completely or the bottom will crumble!
I copied this recipe off the back of a jar of marshmallow cream. The recipe was for chocolate-walnut fudge. I just change the flavor of the candy chips for different flavors. It is a no fail recipe and always comes out the way you think fudge should.
I love these cookies. It's hard to stop eating them so make a double batch. They make impressive gifts as well. If you have any filling left over, you can refrigerate and use it warmed up over ice cream.
Delicious sugar cookies, especially if you use the vanilla and almond extracts together. Perfect for roll-and-cut Christmas cookies. Can also be formed into logs for slice-and-bake cookies. Thanks to PetitFour for the original recipe! Prep time includes chilling time.
The ULTIMATE BROWNIE! This recipe is from Paula Deen's show. There's probably nothing more that needs saying here! I'll do it anyway, these are absolutely FABULOUS! After this experience, you will never want to fix brownies any other way!
These little gems are bursting with scads of chocolate:) and just a minimal amount of flour to hold everything in line! Crispy outside and soft inside, with a chocolate rush so intense your mouth may feel it for days!!! Hope you love these:) *Prep time includes chill time.*
