You will not find a better sugar cookie anywhere you search, this will most likely be the only sugar cookie you will use, not only are these cookies buttery delicious, the dough is an absolute dream to work with, it rolls out easily and is easy to handle, also the cookies hold their shape when baked something many sugar cookies do not do --- make as many different colors as desired in separate bowls with the icing, the cookies must be completely cooled before icing --- plan ahead the dough must be chilled for at least 2 hours before rolling -- since these are topped with icing they are not a sweet cookie if you want a sweeter taste then increase the sugar amount

My sister's co-worker brought these to a party and they were quite a hit. I don't know where the recipe came from originally. "Bark" is an artificial chocolate or vanilla candy coating/confectioner's coating used to make a treat called almond bark and can be found at most grocery stores near the chocolate chips. You can use chocolate chips and white chocolate chips if you don't have almond bark, but I have found that almond bark melts better and is easier to work with.

These are my kids' favorite chocolate chip cookies. They don't stick around too long!

This is an adopted recipe that I haven't yet tried. The original chef comments: "My cousin JoAnn makes cookies better than anyone I know. (I'll bet even better than you!) When she comes to visit, she always brings a giant tupperware container full of freshly baked cookies. These are my favorite!"

I first saw these at a bake sale and was so impressed. You bake a ball of dough in a mini-muffin tin, bake, and press a Reese's peanut butter cup into it after you take it out of oven. You are left with a picture-perfect tart, receiving "oohs and aahs" and "how did you do it?" You could even use the refrigerated sugar/peanut butter cookie dough too.

I got this from Sparkle Magazine!

One of our families favorite cookies. I often bake these to take to different events and am always asked for the recipe since they are such a different cookie from the standard cookie.

    Recipe #20376

I wish I could claim this as my own, but in fact it came from the December 2004 edition of "Real Simple" magazine. Although it calls for "Coffee liqueur" in the recipe, I've made it with many different types from Kahlua and Baileys to more exotic like Amarula and more. Experiment, you'll love the results!

This is by far the BEST Almond Roca imitation that I have tasted! You don't have to be a pro at making candy to make this. If you like Almond Roca, you just gotta try it!!

    Recipe #102480

This came from Family Fun magazine, it's SUPER easy, next to NO MESS. Great activity to do with kids. Excellent alternative to messing around with melting chocolate and dipping pretzels.

    Recipe #104975

Every Christmas my friends and family look forward to this in the cookie tins I make for all of them. They get very upset when I do not make this. It is so easy to make. However, you will want to give them away as soon as possible because they are very addicting.

I love almond roca!! I found this copycat recipe at massrecipes.com and it tastes exactly like the real thing to me! Mmmmm.

The cutest, delicate mice you ever saw! Everyone remarks about them. I give trays of assorted cookies each year and place them on top. They just make it! It actually is a help when the kids can put on the almonds. I don't remember where I got the recipe, so I gave the best measurements I can recall. It sounds like it could be a Hershey's recipe!? For adults you can strain the cherries, then add rum or almond liquor and soak overnight drain and dry proceed with recipe. Save the rum for drinks.

These are addictive - had them yesterday at a kids' party but everyone can eat these!! Kids can help make them too!

    Recipe #154710

This is a staple in my holiday sweet baskets! Everyone I give it to always asks for more! Very easy to make and tailor to your preferences. Add more coffee, sugar, or peppermints depending on how you like it! Enjoy :)

    Recipe #199808

I have a co-worker that is addicted to those hot cafe mocha drinks...So for Christmas, last year, I decided to make them their own 'instant' mix...I even bought a 60 oz 'coffee-themed' container (that came with it's own TBSP measure) for them to store it in! A few TBSP of the 'mix' and some hot water and voila! Cafe Mocha!

Bring smiles to the little ones in your life by whipping up a batch of these yummy cookies! The long-time favorite treat of my own children, these cookies can be made using your choice of mini M&M's, chocolate chips, or butterscotch chips. Enjoy!

    Recipe #134955

These are very good--the best part is I usually have the ingredients on hand.
