These delicate cake-like cookies are glazed with icing and topped with colorful candy sprinkles. They have a mild anise flavoring, which is very typical of Italian baked goods. My family always served these cookies at holidays, weddings or special celebrations, but now that I know the recipe, I can enjoy them all year long!

    Recipe #214498

These are an elegant addition to a Christmas cookie plate.

    Recipe #15364

You can use graham crackers if you'd like.

    Recipe #273342

A totally delicious and traditional British cake - 1793 James Birch’s shop on the corner of Vicarage Road in Eccles began selling small, flat, raisin-filled cakes. They sold, quite literally, like hot cakes! This is my Grandmother's recipe, which ,compared to the original, holds a more varied dried fruit. Best to double the recipe as you will never have enough to satisfy everyone.

    Recipe #302443

The FoodTV chef Giada De Laurentiis prepared this recently on her show "Everyday Italian." The episode featured a "Polenta Party" but this light cake sounded so much like it could be a great addition to Thanksgiving or Christmas menus that I wanted to get it down and post it for folks that might want it for their holiday tables. :) It would also be good for Easter! We made the cake for a recent Italian dinner party, and it was a nice, light ending to the meal.

These are so easy to make and so easy to eat! Cookies and Cream in truffle form. Divine!

This is from a OAMC website. These are delicious and my kids LOVE these in their lunchboxes. I put them in frozen in the morning and they thaw nicely by lunchtime. Note: I have experimented with reducing the sugar in this recipe and find it works very well. I usually make a double batch and only added 1/3 cup sugar instead of 1 cup. They came out perfect - just the right amount of sweetness.

This loaf is rich, flavorful and moist, perfect for the Christmas Season! Actually, if you omit the red or green cherries, it's perfect for ANY time of year! (Keep one, and give one away as a gift!) I think it tastes even better the next day!

I wasn't sure how bitter, raw cranberries could turn into this tart-sweet holiday treat. They would be great year-round; however, you must start with fresh cranberries. The following is the original recipe. I had a 7.5 oz pkg of organic cranberries, so I reduced everything by a third. I also only had the ground versions of the cinnamon and cloves. It stilled turned out great, but I would use the whole versions next time.

Flavorful bite size crunchy cookies. A German tradition that's been passed down from my family. Perfect for the holiday season. These can be refrigerated and baked at any time.

    Recipe #271796

This is my mom's recipe that just can't be beat. I don't know where the recipe came from, I just know they're good! I like them plain with raisins for decoration, but you can go all-out if you want! Have fun and enjoy!! *I used this recipe to make my gingerbread house, but the directions are slightly different for this. **See bottom of page.

My grandmother used to tell me about these cookies all the time, when she gave the recipe to me, I knew I needed to save it here. The yield depends on cookie cutter sizes. I got about 24 cookies using small trees and stars as cutters. Time accounts for 3 batches in the oven.

I got these from a co worker and she told me they tasted like Girl Scout Cookies so I tryed them. I am do have to say they taste as close to the Girl Scout cookies as you can get. Prep times includes the chilling.

    Recipe #48641

This cake is not for the weak of heart it's guaranteed to be a crowd winner. I always like to add a shot or two more than what the recipe calls for.

    Recipe #149563

I've been making these for years as they are easy to whip but have and excellent flavor. What colors you make them and how you decorate them depends on the occasion. Originally from a Philadelphia Cream Cheese booklet.

This is easy and soooooooo yummy. A must for the holidays. Southern Living

    Recipe #31392

These cookies are so dainty and pretty that I served them at my daughter's birthday tea. When I make them during the year, I use multicolored sprinkles on top rather than the crushed candy canes. They are on my "must have" list at Christmas. They are always the first to go at a party. I've had several people say, "I just can't stop eating them". Best eaten within about 2 days of baking. Note that dough does need to be chilled for about an hour before baking.

    Recipe #100927

From Southern Living 1981 comes this recipe for sweet rum-flavored buns laced with raisins and cinnamon and topped with a sugary glaze. This yields 2 dozen buns and they freeze beautifully, but the recipe is easily halved.

    Recipe #122591

I feel sad for anyone who has never been to a Cheesecake Factory restaurant. This cheesecake is out of this world! I think you will find the nut crust quite unusual. Sometimes I double the crust portion of the recipe just so I can have a thicker crust.

    Recipe #107544

Adapted from a Gourmet recipe, this spicy gingerbread originated from the Gramercy Tavern. It's excellent warm, and even better after one day. If you like a deep, spicy gingerbread, you might try this one!
