I made this pie in my home economics class, in high school back in 1969. It was one of the first desserts I ever tried making. Everyone was very impressed with the results
especially my teacher :) I got an A!
I have been making this pie for years... It is a wonderful dessert to make when company is coming, and adds color to any holiday table! Enjoy!
This was posted in the Montreal Gazette. Some one had requested a cheesecake made from the restaurant Franny's that has been closed for quite some time now. This is in time for Shavuot, which requires Jews to eat dairy during the holiday.
This is another dessert that I've baked upteen times over the years! I originally found this on a Great American Recipe card. These cheesecake cookies are delicious and quick to make. I often prepare them for potlucks and family gatherings. They never last long!
If you like Butterfingers candy and cheesecake this is for you! I have heard it said that this could use more sugar. I think it depends on just how sweet your sweet tooth is. Taste and add more if you think it would benefit. *PLEASE NOTE:There is a final filling ingredient that the Zaar computer doesn't like and keeps refusing to publish. This is:
6 small chocolate crispy peanut butter flavored candy bars (like Butterfinger), chopped into medium sized pieces.
This recipe is from the magazine put out by our electric co-op. The brownie crust is unique and so tasty. This is supposed to cool over night, but I always get impatient and just throw it in the freezer for an hour or so.
I found this recipe in a magazine years ago. It's the best cheesecake I have ever tasted! The recipe calls for graham cracker crumbs but sometimes I use vanilla wafer crumbs. This recipe is submitted in loving memory of my friend Ronnie.
Posted in reply to a message board request. If you like German Chocolate Cake and cheesecake, you might want to give this recipe a try. *Note: the prep/cook times do not include the overnight refrigeration required before the topping can be added.
