I bought a frozen assortment pack of cheesecake bites that included a turtle cheesecake that I just love!! So I made this recipe to replicate the one from Lawlers, but in a whole cheesecake. Prep time does not include cooling and refrigeration time.
VERY rich and VERY tasty recipe. My mom made it up and it is close to her Polish cheesecakes(lots of eggs). It makes a lot of servings but I'm sure it could be halved (taking away or adding an egg). Eat once a year because the flavour and heaviness may last a while!!
My husband is in love with the vanilla bean cheesecake from TGI Fridays, so I was sent on a search to find a similar recipe. He says this is very good, and nearly the same as their recipe. One warning: He doesn't eat the crust, so I don't know if that is exactly the same as their recipe. This will take a lot of time to make, but is worth it.
From www.TopSecretRecipes.com I don't know where I got this pumpkin cheesecake recipe. I have made this cheesecake around Thanksgiving, when the pumpkin spices are calling! It is the same as Todd Wilbur's Top Secret recipe.
This was a best selling dessert for Ruggles Grill, in Houston. It's a little different than some peanut butter cheesecakes--very good---with that winning combo, chocolate and peanut butter! Hope you enjoy.
WOW is this good! I found this recipe in an old cheesecake cookbook called "Cheesecake Madness" that I had purchased at a church rummage sale. I don't know why someone didn't want a book with a recipe this delicious in it. It is nice and thick, melts in your mouth, and forget about dieting...this cheesecake is chock full of diet-wrecking temptations!
A recipe for a light and airy cheesecake that I've been wanting to try for a very long time. From the New York City Marathon Cookbook and submitted for Zaar World Tour II. Update 10.18.06: Amount of salt reduced and recipe instructions reworded.
This is a decadent versin of an after-dinner mint! The sour cream gives this cheesecake and exceptionally light and creamy texture. Prep time is a guesstimate, and cook time does not include chill time.
This was a great hit the couple of times I served it. Other liqueurs could be substituted for Kahlua, though I guess then you'd have to change the name of the recipe. If desired, you can reduce the fat content a little by using low-fat vanilla wafers, replacing half the light cream cheese with nonfat, and using 1/4 cup fat-free egg substitute in place of 1 of the eggs.
This is a decadent, moist cheesecake that never fails. I got the recipe from my sister-in-law who brings it to every family function. There are never any leftovers!
*This cheesecake needs to be made and refrigerated one day in advance.
Hope you enjoy!
