This is another tasty cocktail from Australian Bartender magazine. I'm not even a real Malibu fan & I had a few of these last night after work & they were great :) To chill the glass add a scoop of ice & some water while you are preparing the drink, then discard when you've finished your shaking.
I drink this when flying instead of alcohol. It helps to keep me hydrated. The recipe was given to me on a flight from Philly to LA by a flight attendant. I had upgraded to first class, so the flight attendants were great!
This is also my drink of choice when I am trying to keep a clear head while everyone else is indulging in alcohol or if I am taking medication that doesn't mix with alcohol. It makes me feel like I am having a cocktai. Try it the next time you are the designated driver.
This is adapted from a Stone's recipe. The recipe calls for citrus infused vodka but I didn't have any so used a smaller amount of home-made limoncello instead. Using limoncello makes it lovely & sweet on the palate, next time I'll try the citron to see how the flavour differs.
