I drink this when flying instead of alcohol. It helps to keep me hydrated. The recipe was given to me on a flight from Philly to LA by a flight attendant. I had upgraded to first class, so the flight attendants were great!
This is also my drink of choice when I am trying to keep a clear head while everyone else is indulging in alcohol or if I am taking medication that doesn't mix with alcohol. It makes me feel like I am having a cocktai. Try it the next time you are the designated driver.
While visiting a friend in Ruskin, Fl a friend of hers shared this recipe with us....it serves 10 to 12 but I will also include the individual serving. They are dee-licious. My husband made them this past Christmas. They are addictive..go down real easy. Just like drinking chocolate. Rather expensive to make but well worth it.
Are you tired of having too many dandelions in your yard? Here is a way you can put them to good use! This recipe is taken from a cookbook issued by employees and retirees from Santa Fe railroad in Topeka, KS in 1976. PS: You have to gather the dandelions yourself or pay your kids to do it for you!
A nice change from Spanish coffee; although, if you prefer that, just replace the cherry liqueur with Tia Maria or Kahlua. It's also nice with Grand Marnier instead of the cherry liqueur, but then you'd have to rename it!
