I got this recipe out of a Taste of Home book last summer and I love this recipe. I made it for a BBQ and my daughter requested it as a birthday cake. I've also used strawberries and blueberries for 4th of July celebration. The recipe recommends slicing the cake with a serrated knife. To split the cake into three layers I use dental floss - Makes a nice clean cut.

If you want a great strawberry cake recipe from scratch that doesn't use jello, then your in the right place! This is a great moist cake with real strawberries. I tried a couple of different recipes that I wasn't thrilled with, so I played around a bit and found that the changes I made worked out quite well. I wanted this recipe to make cake balls and it worked very well since the cake wasn't too sweet. I mixed them with homemade strawberry cream cheese frosting!

Strawberries plus strawberry gelatin added to the mix packs this cake with tons of strawberry flavor. The Cool-Whip and strawberry frosting just adds to the delight!! Very easy to make, and nice to take to picnics and potlucks. I have never made this as a layer cake, but I imagine that you may have to use a bit more Cool-Whip to frost the entire outside of the cake.

I have made this cake many times in the past and always receive raves reviews all around, it's a buttery cake loaded with walnuts then soaked in honey syrup, trust me you will love this cake!

Dazzle your guests with this "show stopper" coffee cake. Rich enough for dessert, it makes an ideal brunch cake.

My mom's boyfriend's mom's recipe. It's amazing and the best one I've ever found.

This is a perfect summer party cake ... you can use either frozen or fresh strawberries.

My son found this recipe in one of his Grandmother's old cookbooks - Pillsbury I think. I use Nestle's Strawberry Quik, powdered strawberry milk mix. It has become his favorite birthday cake.

My mother made this all the time when we were growing up. It is very sweet so a little goes a long way. Not a pretty cake but oh so good and easy to prepare. I have frozen this in precut squares and popped in the microwave for a sweet warm treat.

This recipe is a family favorite, very moist and lots of fruit in it. The recipe came out of the Marquette Mining Journal newspaper in Michigan.

I made only a couple changes to this recipe I adopted from the RecipeZaar account in February 2005. I increased the butter from 3/4 to 1 cup, changed the milk from canned evaporated milk (which I am not terribly fond of) to regular whole milk, and decreased the amount of milk from 1 cup to 3/4 cup (the additional 1/4 cup butter makes up the difference). This delicious topping is the perfect topping for Recipe #7061.

Very easy to make and delicious. I don't know where the recipe came from but have been making it for years. About 15 minutes to make when everything is on the counter in front of you.

Giant Coconut from the Peninsula Grill. The picture on the website has the 3 layers cut in half to make a 6 layer cake. It is likely that you would need to double the amount of filling.

This cake is so darn good ... Mary made it for all her kids and I am pretty sure they make it for theirs and so on.

I got this recipe from a lady I work with. We were having a Mexican potluck at work. When she told us she was bring Mexican cheesecake, we all kinda looked at her funny. After we got done eating the cheesecake, we asked for for the directions on how to make it. I took it home and made it that night for a family get together we have every weekend. It was very easy to make. It sat in my house overnight before I took it out to my grandma's house. Not sure how I kept my boyfriend out of it. It smelled so good. It went so fast. My mom and grandma told me from now on this is what I'm to bring every weekend. I hope y'all enjoy the recipe.

I found this recipe during the Christmas 2009 season in a local newspaper. I haven't tried it myself yet but it looks delicious. The recipe says it is a great glaze for rum cake but I bet it would be fabulous over vanilla pound cake too.

In my opinion, this is the absolute best banana bread out there. I got it through a mail order recipe club called "Grandma's Kitchen". It is so easy to make, and it seems like everyone always has some ripening bananas that they're trying to get rid of!

Wonderful with your cup of coffee!

A wonderful frosting I have used for years made in very little time with perfect results and 100% better than any canned, this frosting is so good you will find yourself eating a fair amount of it before even using it to frost with! --- choose the amount of cocoa powder you desire for either a light, medium or dark frosting, and make certain to sift the cocoa powder and the confectioners sugar before using for the recipe--- this frosting *freezes* very well so double the recipe and freeze one batch for next time --- *NOTE* for an ultra creamy fluffy milk chocolate frosting add in 1 to 1-1/2 cups thawed Cool Whip topping at the end of mixing the frosting and beat on low speed until blended ------- also see my recipe#80118 ---- recipe#282040 --- recipe#90142
