this is delicious, I started making it with a Duncan Hines carrot cake mix in the 1980's and had to switch to Betty Crocker when Duncan stopped making it. I actually made it for Miss Picky's first birthday and she will be 25 in June. The pineapple and raisins really make it moist and the the chopped pecans add a different texture. Try it with cream cheese frosting.
The most amazing dessert I have ever had. Made by Emeril!**a little update-I normally have to cook mine for a few minutes longer than Emeril states, also I have made this up until baking and kept in the freezer for 2 weeks then baked**
Well, it is amazing what you find when you clean out your kitchen. This is my favorite easy yum Banana bread recipe that was missing for about 10 years. I found a recipe box with a lot of missing favorites and this is the first one I am going to post
This is strawberry-shortcake-mixed-together! Quite delicious, especially on a warm summer evening. It can also be made in a Bundt pan (very lightly sprayed with Pam) served with frozen strawberries (thawed) and cream.
I made this for dessert on Easter and it was the perfect choice! A wonderful dessert for special occasions. I made a scratch angel food cake but I did not include that in the cooking time. The recipe comes from America's Best Recipes -- A 2003 Hometown Collection.
These are chewy, fudgy, SUPER EASY cookies that you can probably make right now! I have watched these disappear time and again and everyone is always asking for the recipe. It is almost embarrassing to give it out, it is that easy :) Enjoy! (12/14/06: I wanted to add that Betty Crocker has updated this recipe by adding 1 tsp. vanilla extract, but I don't want to change the original recipe.) *12/22/07: Please see my tips at the end of the recipe! **12/23/08: Betty Crocker has now added a version of the same exact recipe in which the cookie dough balls are rolled in granulated sugar instead of powdered sugar. I've tried this and they're also very good.
This recipe was on Paula's Food TV show. They are to die for! I made these because my partner will not eat anything with cream cheese in it. I thought I would actually have cookies to eat the next day. I was so wrong. I made a double batch and only had 3 cookies in all. I did not find these to be Gooey. More delicate and cake like. Be sure not to over bake.
*Prep time includes 2 hour chilling time.
*NOTE - On her show she did add oil...I don't know the amt. I added no oil the 4 times I have made these and I don't feel its needed...My hips agree :)
UPDATE: I have also used FF Cream Cheese with good results. Any flavor cake mix works well! Please also note that the directions do state that dough will be very stiff. I use my stand mixer with no problems. Please use caution if using a hand mixer.
