This is an exceptional cake with a lovely Banana Flavor.

This is so rich and buttery you'll claim it's worth a million bucks.

    Recipe #16489

This cake looks really unique, because of the batter and the plums. Other fruits can be used, depending on the season. Canned dark cherries are particularly good.

Use with my recipe for Carrot Cake

    Recipe #68975

Delicious and simple cake for any occasion. A little on the lighter side, since it uses light pie filling.

I have made zillions of trifles in my lifetime, but this one is fantastic. Toffee bits are unavailable where I live, so I always have visitors bring me some just to make this (usually for them).

    Recipe #16028

This really a scrumptious cake, though it is true, as some reviewers have noted, that the frosting just barely covers all three layers. You could double the recipe, as some people have done, or you could make a batch and a half. Your call. To make a batch and a half, the measurements would then be: 3/4 cup butter; 1-1/2 cups dark brown sugar; 1/4 + 2 tablespoons milk; and 3 cups of confectioner's sugar. Hopefully, this will give you enough frosting without having too much left over in your bowl, which, if you're anything like me, you will then be forced to eat at least *some* of, so as not to have to wash it all down the sink. ; )

My mother just gave me a whole box of recipes and I found this recipe in it. It sounded so good, I baked it for a bake sale. A woman bought a couple of pieces, liked it so much that she came back and bought the rest of the cake. Definitely a keeper... very easy, tasty, and versatile. I made it in a 9x13 pan. You can use milk or water instead of orange juice but I really liked the flavour of the orange juice and the raisins in it.

I've been making this particular cake since around 1973. It always turns out perfectly, and so moist. You'll love this one, even if you don't like prunes.

    Recipe #40499

Just dump everything in one bowl and stir. great for 1st time bakers.

    Recipe #147866

A fantastic glaze for just about any Bundt or tube cake! Follow all measurements exactly (3,3,3 and 3!) or the glaze will be too runny.

    Recipe #139987

Such a simple recipe and yet it makes a great cookie treat. Nice enough for a gift tray, but simple enough for an everyday treat for the kids.

    Recipe #43808

This recipe is posted in honor of my Grandmother. When I was a little girl, I stayed with her during the day while my Mom worked. We made these Tea Cakes at least once a week. She was the most wonderful cook I've ever known. I hope someday to be as good as she was. (On the servings, I'm only guessing! Prep time includes chilling the dough.)

    Recipe #41854

This cake is very moist and extremely easy to make.

    A yummy, chocolaty treat!

    Recipe #65562

I made this and it is yummy! I am posting for ZWT 2006. Raspberries make a ruby red sauce to serve with this chip rich cake.

Mrs. Hayden was a patient of mine when I was fresh out of college and in my first job. As a widow, she was lonely so I visted her often. She always baked something when she knew I was going to drop by. My daughter Shanna started cooking when she was 12 and this was her favorite foolproof sweet. It brings back many sweet memories.

Said the author of The Laura Secord Canadian Cookbook: "The Home Cookbook, published in Toronto in 1879, included a recipe for Toronto Pie. Although continuing as a family favorite, the name slipped into disuse during the intervening years. A delicate, hot-milk sponge cake split and filled with raspberry jam, Toronto Pie belongs in the same family as Boston Cream Pie. During my 30+ years of living in Toronto, I have never heard of this cake." Maybe not, but it sure sounds good! I haven't tried this yet. I chose it for Zaar World Tour II.

    Recipe #173371

This has a great texture with a struesel topping. I like to make this for Holiday breakfasts.

    Recipe #42409

Kids love these cupcake cones! Just watch their faces light up when you bring these out. Great for any kid's party.
