I love cabbage, but never liked the other cabbage rolls I ate, so I created this one. Very different from the usual cabbage roll. Try it--you will like it! Not traditional tomato/rice version-but yummy!

A fantastic vegetarian main dish that goes well with glazed carrots and your favorite cooked grain. I also enjoy making this strudel into individual servings, egg roll style to serve as appetizers, or a side for a bowl of soup.

The vegetables in this dish are slightly caramelized, which gives this dish its savory flavor.

Raise the lowly cabbage to something extraordinary! This technique of sautéing brings out a wonderful sweetness you never knew existed in cabbage. You can add different spices to this recipe: curry, caraway seeds, or hot pepper sauce are just suggestions. But try it plain first! Adapted from The Low-Carb Cookbook by Fran McCullough

Dedicated to Charishma and all those trying to lose weight! A great low cal salad to be had as an accompaniment to the main dish. Or, throw in some grilled chicken slivers and have a complete meal by itself.

A beautifully colorful salad, and a nice change from traditional coleslaw. I like to sprinkle on a little of Emeril's "Essence" too. Great as a side dish, and makes a wonderful tortilla wrap sandwich. Cook time is refrigeration time.

I am trying out several of the ready made vegetarian meat substitutes and this casserole is a result of my trial by fire! Play with the ingredients add more heat, garlic or whatever your favorite herbs and spices are. I look at this recipe as a stepping stone to other recipes. The fried onions that I use in the recipe for the topping are the prepared ones - One brand is French's but you may also buy them in Oriental markets as fried red onions

pronounced gaw-WUMP-kee, literally meaning 'little pigeons'. Probably the best known Polish food. The ground meat & rice type in tomato sauce are the most common, but the seasonings and stuffings vary from region to region and there are many other varieties, including vegetarian versions like the one listed here.

I have never liked Cole Slaw, but after tasting this, I've become a convert. No mayo in this recipe, and the nuts and seeds add a nice crunch you don't usually get. Got the recipe from someone I work with who brought it to a pot luck.
