This recipe was originally noted by my wife on a cooking show on TV. It was touted as an Amish recipe. All we had for a long time was the list of ingredients on the back of an old envelope. We lost it for a good while and after I found it, I originally posted it so I would never lose it again. Thank you all for all your interest ... this is my absolute favorite pie. During the "lost" phase I must have gained 20 pounds trying numerous different buttermilk pie recipes ... I was so glad when I found it again as only a few even came close in taste and texture. I've noted a lot of people mentioning reducing the sugar, which is fine, but bear in mind that the sugar quantity was a major difference between this and other recipes I tested when it was lost. Hey, it is a PIE, it is SUPPOSED to be sweet. Enjoy

From Coup de Pouce. This is an healthy recipe that I plan to try soon. And also it's done in less than 30 minutes.

These biscuits combine an adaptation of Roben Ryberg's biscuit ingredients from The Gluten-Free Kitchen with Cooks Illustrated's method for making biscuits. These are very white...if you liked the white, spongy things that you could buy at Kentucky Fried Chicken, you'll like these. Lately I've been substituting 1-1/4 cups brown rice flour mix for the two starches. It turns out really good with a little less white and a little more nutrition.

These are really tasty, and easy to make, too. :) Prep time is the chilling in the fridge.

These buttermilk biscuits are authentic. This recipe came from my great-great-grandmother, and was handed down to all the women in my family, and we are all Southern. I am the first one to commit the sin of using a food processor (lol) but I find it works very well. I would put these biscuits up against anyone's - they are perfect in every single way. I hope you all enjoy them.

A very moist cake made with fresh peaches. Yummy!

THIS. This is the recipe I have been searching for! This yellow cake is ridiculously delicious, bakes up beautifully and is delightfully moist. Thanks to Deb over at Smitten Kitchen for sharing this recipe! You can get two 9-inch round, 2-inch tall cake layers, 24 cupcakes, two 8-inch squares or a 9×13 single-layer cake. Cake flour substitution: Simply place 1 tablespoon corn starch in a measuring cup and fill the remainder with flour. Level and sift...it works perfectly!

Eat this on New Year's Day for good luck for the year....or eat it simply because it's just so darn good!

    Recipe #345861

This is taken from Gale Gand's Sweet DReams. They turned out awesome, though a bit sweet for the topping (i will reduce the brown sugar if you don't like ultra sweet topping) but these are wonderful and moist.

If you like lemon, you're going to love this cake! Saw this recipe being made by the Barefoot Contessa on FoodTV and just had to have it. Not being overly experienced, I was a bit intimidated by the recipe. However, it is not very hard, looks great and the taste is incredible! Cook time does not include time for the cakes to cool.

These are SO delicious - the honey & whole wheat give them a wonderful flavor. Hope you'll enjoy them as much as we do!

I got this recipe from a friend. I make these often and take them to many potlucks, office parties, the cottage, picnics, children's lunch and the list goes on. Recipe from the cookbook "Just The Best."
