A Canadian Living recipe. This is very easy to make. I do find it just a bit sticky before cooking. You can add variety by adding grated carrots or sunflower seeds. Great if served with on really good bread such as focaccia topped with sprouts, tomatoes and sour cream.
This is soooo good and easy! It's an adaptation of various veggie burgers I have made. You could put it on a bun and make it a slider. I like thowing these on a salad and they are great for guests. I improvised this so feel free to switch up the veggies! I put this into my WW recipe builder and its
4 points for 3 veggie crab cakes.
This recipe makes 9 veggie crab cakes.
This recipe is a modified version from this month's Gourmet Magazine (June 2008). The burgers can be prepared on the grill or in a skillet. If you don't want to use a food processor, you can simply chop the onions finely and mash the beans and walnuts together before mixing in everything else by hand. Uncooked patties can be chilled, covered, up to 4 hours.
I got this recipe from allrecipes.com and modified it for my vegan family. We had these with some our favorite toppings (pickles, onion, tomato, romaine and spicy mustard). Great with sweet potato fries & a salad! All I can say is YUMMY!!!
I think that homemade veggie burgers are always better (and cheaper) than store-bought. This is a nice basic recipe. I particularly like these because the prep work is minimal. Freeze these on cookie trays covered with waxed paper until solid, then move them to a ziploc bag. You can then take them out individually whenever you want one!
A nut and oat based veggie burger, apparently won $500 in a contest and really sticks together even on a grill. The original website is no longer running, but this recipe still floats around on the internet.
Moist, delicious vegetarian alternative to boring frozen veggie burgers. These are easy to make and taste wonderful on whole-grain buns with some cheddar cheese, tomato and lettuce for crunch. Be watchful while cooking these ... the sugar content in the barbecue sauce can cause the burgers to blacken kind of quickly. Tastes great on the grill, too ... just keep an eye on them!
This recipe is so easy to make and tasty too. I have even made it with light cheddar cheese which works just as well.
These make great leftovers too, I usually microwave the patty and throw on a fresh bun with all the fixings.
I collect veggie burger recipes and this is a little different from the others I have. Feel free to use other veggies. if you like! These can be frozen. Serving suggestions: Serve with grilled onions, grilled portabella mushroom slices, and mixed greens, or, burger style with ketchup
I love vegetarian burgers, especially black bean burgers. This recipe is aggressively zippy; therefore, tone down the spiciness if you need to. Can be pan fried or baked. Created for the Cookgirl Fall Fashion line for 2005.
