Does your hot dog need more meat and less condiments?

    Recipe #393044

My FAVORITE burger ever- made with chicken or turkey meat it's healthy, but filling. I have also grilled the burgers on the barbeque, and they come out better.

    Recipe #416139

This Worcestershire sauce- and garlic-spiked burger recipe is part of Weight Watchers Perfectly Simple series. Simply add a few highly flavored ingredients to lean ground beef and you can enjoy tasty burgers in minutes. Great toppings for these juicy patties include tomato and red onion slices, pickles and spicy mustard. 5 pts per serving.

    Recipe #307853

I've made this recipe for many birthday parties. It's easy to double or triple if needed. It's also easy to throw together and put in the crockpot if needed.

    Recipe #246712

This has lots of great flavor and is always requested by family and friends for me to make several times every summer on the grill. Just got requested for me to make this coming Memorial Day weekend. I found it in a magazine in the waiting room at the Doctors office.

    Recipe #304197

Found these in Real Simple and they are yummy. Succulent, moist, a nice departure from a normal burger and a great way to sneak some veggies in on your family. Served them with garlic fries, hot out of the oven. This is my little ode to Bergy, our Queen of Burgers.

A recipe from Katsuyo Kobayashi and her book "Quick and Easy Japanese Cookbook". She defeated Iron Chef Chen Kenichi on the popular Food Network t.v. show "Iron Chef". Kobayashi-san claims she can make anyone into an Iron Chef! :)

    Recipe #29000

Driving through Louisiana in 1953, Troy Smith happened upon a cozy hamburger stand that had installed an intercom system to speed up ordering. Troy adapted the idea for his small chain of burger joints and hired nimble servers to quickly bring food out to customers. The concept was a smash, with revenues for the chain doubling during the first week. Sonic was cashing in on the growing popularity of the automobile. Hungry patrons parked their cars in a stall, rolled down the window, and ordered from a two-way speaker box. The food was quickly brought out to the car on a tray by a roller-skating carhop with excellent balance.

I got this recipe, years ago, when visiting out in California. It is good for family and/or company (even plain meat and potatoes people like this one!). I am posting it as it was written, but I always double the sauce ingredients.

    Recipe #140457

From TOH, they sound yummy AND kid friendly! I leave out the green peppers because we don't like them,. but you could use whatever pizza topping your family likes.

    Recipe #320850

Southern Living; given to me by my MIL. Husband's favorite.

I never really liked store bought sloppy joes because of the onions. So when I was teenager I came up with my own version without them. Over the years I have fiddled with the recipe to make it even more delicious. My dad uses it as his hot dog chili. Each to their own.

I have been eating these since my childhood. Normally I make these with leftover slaw so the ratio of slaw may be off. The recipe was inspired by Recipe #262230 which was posted by Chef rickoholic83. The dressing makes a wonderful dressing for coleslaw. You may have leftover dressing, it can also be served on a fruit salad or lettuce wedges.

    Recipe #280143

John T. Edge, Burgers: An American Story, Putnam 2005- Adapted from this wonderful story teller, perfect for picnic or nice luncheon burger. Normally we serve this with a big bowl of pass around potato chips, ice cold pickles, and a large wedge of fresh tomato. Soft buns are best, but toast works equally as well.

    Recipe #245395

The horse trailers were puling into the lot behind our church. It was a huge, long lot that was approximately 2 acres, and would house horses, their trailers, their owners and riders, and a large jumping course that would provide lots of fun and frolic for 2 days. My mother was in charge of the food supply, and early in the morning she made large, bubbling pots of "Sloppy Joes' a la All Saints!" I know we must of had at least 10 dozen rolls, and probably 25 lbs. of ground beef, large cans of tomato sauces, fresh tomatoes, and V8. Anyway you make these, they are 100% real from our horse show. The only thing missing is the peppermint stuck in the lemon.

    Recipe #203348

These are plump little burgers complimented with a zesty blue cheese sauce, and sandwiched between crispy slices of Italian bread brushed with olive oil and garlic. A tasty combination!

    Recipe #77251

Saw this recipe in a magazine. I love fried onions on a burger and this variation sounds great. I kept their serving suggestion in the recipe but I'm sure they would be just as good on a bun!

These are super good burgers. I've made burgers like this for the past year, using salt and pepper instead of McCormick's.. I discovered McCormick's and tried it... Boy did it make a difference.... We usually eat these burgers with potato salad and baked beans...

    Recipe #235304

Not your average hot dog--simple, but very kid-friendly!

    Recipe #227700

This was on the package of meat. It is from Great Range Brand. I left out the hot pepper as we're not fond of hot. The flavor was good, but a little sweet. Next time I'll put less ketchup in. It's a good basic recipe to experiment with.
