Does anyone hate S'Mores? Here's a lunch-bag, picnic, hiking version of an all-time favorite. I found this in "The King Arthur Flour Baker's Companion"

These are absolutely the chewiest, moistest, fudgiest brownies ever! I have tried adding so many different things to the batter, and they ALWAYS comes out great. They are also great without ANY add-ins! BUT by varying the add-ins, you can make different brownies every week (or day!!) SUPER EASY PREP! So, add "whatever floats your boat" and you will not believe how yummy they come out :) Oh, and the recipe doubles just fine--use a 9 x 13 inch pan instead and add a few more minutes of baking!

I have no clue where I got this recipe! My mother and both of my sisters each have different recipes that they make. None-the-less, I've been making this recipe since I've been married and we love it. I like to alternate between english & black walnuts and have been known to mix them in this recipe. I got this recipe from the inside of the cream cheese carton- Yum! I do recommend doubling the chocolate cookie crumbs as some reviewers have noted it doesn't cover the bottom of the pan very well with only 2 cups.
