Filled with a unique and spicy filling of chopped vegetables, Cheddar cheese, and seasonings. The filling was invented by Lulu, or Uncle Lawrence, and put in the cookbook Wraps, by a family member. Enjoy!

Adding crunchy cashews and fresh almonds to broccoli and beans is a really great way of serving these two simple green vegetables. It makes you want to eat them for ever.

    Recipe #427792

Adapted from Prairie Home Cooking. This is the way my Mother used to make macaroni and cheese. The pasta measurement is the measurement for the dried pasta.

Another great tailgating recipe - these are yummy hearty burgers! From "5-Ingredient Grilling"...

    Recipe #439465

Don't toss out your turkey carcass make soup! --- this can also be made using a carcass from a large roasting chicken --- the carcass takes about an hour to cook so start this early, and do not remove any meat that was left on the bones, you will *love* this soup! :)

    Recipe #267620

This recipe has increadable flavor,is easy to make and has been the family for years. The marinade carmelizes on the chicken and vegetables, to give them a very unique flavor that complements the vegetables and chicken flavor. These are very low cal.(approx. 310cal. per 2 full skewers), and are quite filling. They are a summer favorite of our family. We serve them with rice or baked potatoe. You can cook them on the B-B-Q or oven. It sound like a very simple recipe, but the flavor isn't, there won't be any left overs. Try these, you will not be sorry.

    Recipe #413087

    Farm Bureau recipe.

    Recipe #306526

Have you ever been to a mexican restaurant or burrito joint and tried that tasty white cheese dip? After much experimentation, I finally have a recipe that is on par with the cheese dip you can get there, and you're sure to love it too. This beats anything you can buy prepackaged in a store! If you do not have a double boiler, you can improvise by using a metal mixing bowl over a saucepan.

    Recipe #414952

This recipe was a total accident!! I was making wilted lettuce from another recipe and misread the ingredients not realizing it until the salad was gone and everybody was talking about how good it was....sometimes an accident can make the best recipe!!

(Portuguese Kale Soup) by John Villa Pico, NYC Recipe adapted by Irene Sax Considered by many to be Portugal's national dish, caldo verde is found everywhere — in the dining rooms of Lisbon's most luxurious hotels to the humblest of country homes. It's a versatile dish: Serve it as a one-course meal at lunch or as a light supper in the evening. What's crucial when preparing it is that the kale is cut into extremely fine slices; that's what creates the soup's distinctive character.

Coffee has a remarkable affinity with beef. Here, it is complemented by balsamic vinegar, garlic and crushed peppercorns. I found this at eatingwell.com. Note: Time doesn't include marinating. I marinated my overnight and it worked out well, very tasty!!!

    Recipe #339171

A recipe from Chatelaine Food Express Quickies 2.

    Recipe #344776

I originally got the idea for this out of Sunset Magazine, and have tweaked it to suit my family and friends. It makes a great OAMC entree for the grill, or to take camping. I've used this on chicken and salmon as well as beef, just reducing the marinating time appropriately. Don't use ground (dry) ginger in this- the flavor is not the same.

Snow peas need so little cooking, and I hate worrying about taking them off the stove in time when steaming, especially when I have guests over. I tried microwaving them tonight for the first time and think I'm on to something!

    Recipe #339156

Chicken with a twist.. Cooking time includes 1 hour marinating time.
