I know there are a zillion pancake recipes already but I went thru and this one IS different and SO good. I think that mixing well, sifting the dry ingredients, and carefully folding in the egg whites makes these so very fluffy. And, wonder of wonders, you can freeze the batter, defrost in the fridge, and the pancakes are perfect. One more thing--you must use real maple syrup and you must warm it before serving it with the pancakes.
Mini treats with the flavor of fresh blueberries and loaded with fiber. A wonderful way to begin your morning! Adapted from a weight loss websites email newsletter.
Prep Tip: Color, not size, tells you which blueberries are the ripest. Look for berries that are deep purple to blue-black.
Serving Tip: Spread the warm halves of each muffin with a little mashed, ripe banana instead of butter.
I remember having this as a child. It was the best cinnamon toast. We would watch as my mom made this and was amazed at how the cinnamon melted over the butter and hardened. She would serve this on the side of a bowl of sweet rice... which I have on Zaar too. (Recipe #338491) I now make this for my boys. They love it just as much if not more. The actual measurements are as much or little as you like on the toast.
Honey is the best blood enricher by raising corpuscle content. The darker the honey (like buckwheat) the more minerals it contains.

A simple and tasty breakfast/brunch treat.
This is an adopted recipe from the RecipeZaar account, and I am delighted to be the new owner of such a winning recipe.
If you would like the inside of the finished dish to be a little less "egg-y" then cut the number of eggs down to 3, and many many reviewers also found that just 3 Tablespoons of butter worked better for them. Either way they did it, they all agreed that the taste was great. Enjoy!
A wonderful old family recipe for HUGE and very light spiced Hot Cross Buns! I discovered that most of the hard work is taken out of making these, by proving & kneading them in the Bread Maker/Machine......unless you NEED to expel any frustrations, and then you MUST knead these yourself! You can make the crosses by either marking them before baking or, as I have done, by putting thinly rolled pastry crosses on top. An absolute "must" for the Spring and Easter Tea table! I also make these throughout the rest of the year - minus the crosses - for fruity, spiced English style teacakes!
I make these anytime of the year, but was a tradition with my granddaughter that we take them to Easter Sunrise Service breakfast. Everyone loves them. If you don't overbake them, they are soft and tender and delicious with an icing. You'll make them again and again.
Posted as a reply to a discussion. This is my step-son's most requested recipe! He asks me to make these for him every Saturday morning. He normally picks at his food, but he can almost eat all of these all by himself!
I've been making these for longer than I can remember, and have had not one person NOT like them. These muffins incorporate 2 of my favorite foods....blueberries and corn muffins! However, I'm lazy and this was my way of having both in as short a time as possible.
I found these at the Mr. Food site. My friends says they really are called Get Up and Go Bars because with all the fiber, you really will have to get up and run! Especially if you have one of these bars with your first morning cup of coffee!
