This is an easy way to serve omelets. In our house, it takes me forever to make breakfast on the stove top! Baking this is soooo much easier. Feel free to add or subtract to suit your tastes (bacon, sausage, onions, peppers, etc.)
All of the beignet recipes I have found here on Zaar have yeast in them. This is a recipe we use ALL THE TIME in the south...with no yeast. (Yeast and I don't get along, that is why I bought a bread machine) Light and fluffy!! Just dust with Confectioners sugar and enjoy!
This is a Betty Crocker recipe that I have been wanting to try. My DH is not a big sweet or breakfast eater, so I am waiting for someone to come visit us....thus giving me an excuse to make these (and not have them go to waste).
This is a Paula Deen recipe that looked and sounded too good to be true. We love sweet cornbread in the South and this looks like it will hit the spot. I have not made this one yet. I am putting it here on Zaar so I will be able to find it again. I think this would make a great Sunday breakfast or a Sunday dinner for 2.
This is my sister-in-law's recipe for yummy, gooey breakfast treats. It's embarrassing how many of these my family eats in one sitting! They are absolutely worth the effort, and can be prepared the night before for an easier morning.
These biscuits are light inside, slightly crispy on the outside. They are terrific for breakfast served as biscuits topped with a hearty sausage gravy (such as Sawmill Gravy recipe #: 56251) or as an accompaniment to any stew or "meat and potatoes" type dinner.
(Note: Mixer speed settings are for KitchenAid stand mixers; adjust accordingly for the brand of mixer that you will be using)
Got this recipe from an English friend of mine.
This lemon spread is wonderful on scone or toast, and muffins. I have made it for several years as some of my Christmas gifts. I have never deviated from this recipe, and it's so good and rich!
Something different! A delicious breakfast or dinner that pleases people who don't like French Toast because it's too sweet. This was served at the bed and breakfast at Youngberg Hill Winery in the Oregon Wine Country.
My mom taught me how to make these potatoes when I was a little girl living in the hills of Van Lear Ky. I remember the way they smelled and
I still make them today; my family loves these simple fried potatoes.
